1 Организационный момент

2Речевая разминка. Актуализация имеющихся у учащихся знаний о Шотландии

(звучит волынка) Today we are going to make a trip to one of the most beautiful countries in the world, to the country where such famous poets and writers as R. L. Stevenson, W.Scott, R. Burns were born, to the country with fantastic lakes or lochs as people call them, and beautiful mountains. What country am I talking about? (учащиеся определяют тему урока)

3 Презентация. Аудирование текста о Шотландии. Заполнение учащимися таблицы

Listen to some information about Scotland and complete the fact file.

Your next task is to match the proper names with their definitions

5 Чтение учащимися текста учебника “Scotland the Beautiful” и оформление путеводителя по Эдинбургу

The main task for you is to make a guide book of Edinburgh. Read the text, choose one of the photos, paste it into your guide books and complete the missing words using the information from the text

6 Оформление русско-английского разговорника

Our guide books are nearly ready. The last thing we should do is to make a phrase book to help guests of Edinburgh to go sightseeing. Your task is to translate some phrases from Russian into English.

7 Рефлексия: Read the quotations about Edinburgh and choose one you agree with. Prove your choice.
