well, let’s continue our lesson. Today our theme is “Past Simple Passive (пассив в простом прошедшем времени)”.
время Past Simple в утвердительном предложении требует глагол с окончанием ed или его вторую форму (таблица неправильных глаголов), а в отрицании и вопросе сказуемое опять возвращается к словарному виду. А вот глаголы в Past Simple Passive во всех типах предложения стоят в данной форме. Did в данном времени нам не понадобится, а вместо него в роли вспомогательного выступают was или were, которые в вопросительных предложениях занимают место перед подлежащим (Was/were + S + Ved (V2)?), а в отрицаниях после: S + was\were + not + Ved (V2).
Часто используются краткие формы: wasn’t/ weren’t. Обратите внимание, что вспомогательные глаголы в данном времени не переводятся, не несут смысловой нагрузки (был, были), они только помогают образовать время.
