 Открытый урок английского языка в 10 классе на тему: “The USA

                                                                                      Учитель: Тугарина Г.И.

Технология урока: РКМЧП (Mind map ,  Синквейн, «Шесть шляп мышления»).

Цели: развитие монологической речи учащихся с использованием новых знаний, формирование лингво-культурной компетенции учащихся.

Образовательные задачи:

 расширить словарный запас по теме;

  1. формирование лексических навыков говорения о стране;

Познавательные:

  1. развитие лингво- культурной компетенции;
  2. активизация лексики и лексико- грамматических конструкций по теме;

Воспитательные:

  1. воспитывать умение внимательно слушать и слышать, уважать другое мнение;
  2. поддерживать других и быть к ним благожелательными;

 

Развивающие:

  1. развитие способности создавать карту памяти и работать с ней;
  2. развивать умение работать в группе (компетентности: интеллектуальная, социальная)

Оборудование урока:

аудиозапись песни “ I just called”, звучит в начале урока; карточки для учащихся, фломастеры разных цветов, мультимедийная презентация урока, видеофильм о достопримечательностях США.

Ход урока

Teacher. My dear friends I’m really glad to see you.  First of all let me ask you about the date. Is it unusual date? Why?  Who tells about it? Yes, its special day. People give  small presents, speak and sing about the love. What song do you know about the love?  Let’s sing song

       1. На первой стадии (Evocation) решалась задача «вызвать» уже имеющиеся знания и мотивировать учащихся на получение новой информации по теме (ставится  цель урока).   

       Today we are going to talk about the USA.

       What information do we know about this country?

       What new information do you want to know?

2.  На стадии (Realization of meaning),  которая является основной частью урока, идет  непосредственная работа с информацией. Использование технологии  РКМ  

There is a text on your desks. You should read it carefully.

TEXT

 The Washington Monument is one of the most impressive sights in the city. It is situated in Potonic Park. It was built  to the memory of the first president of the USA in 1888. It is called “the Pencil” because it is one of the tallest stone constructions in the world. It rises 160 metres .

 The White House is the official residence of the President of the United States

 The Capitol is the seat of the American Congress. It is the largest and the tallest building.          There are no skyscrapers because no other building must be taller than the Capitol.

 Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty is the symbol of American democracy. It stands in New York.  The people of France gave the Statue to the people of the United States one hundred and seventeen years ago. The sculptor was Frederic Bartholdi. Liberty carries the torch of freedom in her right hand. In her left hand she is holding a tablet with the inscription "July 4, 1776" — American Independence Day.

 Lincoln's memorial is the second for the sizes, the importance and popularity a monument of the USA after Statue of Liberty. It constructed in 1914-1922 in the style Ancient Greek temples.  Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth president of the USA. He was against slavery. Lincoln became a symbol of the American Dream. He was a lawyer.

Mind map- is a special scheme that shows the way of our thoughts. It is a structure of our thinking. It will help us to summarize and analyze all the information. The main idea is placed in the center of the scheme. You can use different pictures and signs to illustrate your ideas. The branches of your mind map will be of different colours.

A mind map is a diagram used to represent words, ideas, tasks, or other items linked to and arranged around a central key word or idea. Mind maps are used to generate, visualize, structure, and classify ideas, and as an aid in study, organization, problem solving, decision making, and writing.

3. На  стадии рефлексия (Reflection)  осмысление учащимися своей деятельность на уроке  проходит  через использование приемов «Синквейна» и «Шесть шляп».

The next task is to make your own cinquains about  The USA. If you forget what it is, I’ll remind you. It is a kind of poem consisting of 5 lines (this word has a French origin; cinq means five in French). The first line is a general word, the second line consists of two adjectives which describe this country, the third line includes 3 verbs on the topic, the fourth line is the main idea of your “poem” (It must consist of 3-4 words) and the last line is a synonym of the general world.     For example:  «American Holidays"

                                                          *Happy, thankful

                                                          *Get together, pray, thank

                                                          * It’s celebrated by all Americans.

                                                          *Charity

And now it’s time to start. Presentation.
