Тема. " Hobbies."
Цель урока: Формирование коммуникативной и лингвистической компетенции учащихся по теме «Хобби»
Задачи урока:
Обучающие: актуализация ранее введенной лексики в речевых образцах и в монологическом/диалогическом высказывании.
Развитие навыков аудирования; тренировка учащихся в употреблении речевого образца "to be popular with".
Развивающая: развитие способности к логическому мышлению, творческому воображению и вниманию.
Воспитательная: уважительное отношение и понимание чужих увлечений, воспитание интереса к познанию окружающей среды; развитие умений работать в группе; формирование самостоятельности.
Good afternoon, boys and girls! How are you today? Glad to see you.

Today we shall continue to learn the topic "Hobbies". We shall listen to the stories about your hobbies. I hope you will be able to prove that your hobby is one of the most interesting, important and popular.

Mr. Davis is a famous children s writer.
He had many hobbies: collecting different things, sports cinema, theatre, working on computers dancing, acting, paintings pictures.
One day he began to write stories about birds and animals. His daughter liked his new hobby.

Reporter. "Hello everybody. It is one o’clock and we begin our afternoon programme" Meeting with Famous People". Here is Mr. Frank Davis, a famous children^ writer. He will tell you some interesting facts about his hobbies. Welcome to the programme, Mr. Davis.
Mr. Davis. Now, I would like to begin by remembering those times when I was a little boy. I had so many hobbies then. First, I think, I was a great collector of different things. I collected stamps, coins, badges, small books, pictures, pencils and what not. Whatever I collected I always tried to get as many things as I could. I did try to have thematic collections. I had large collections and was always proud of them.
When I was older, at the age of twelve, I think, I became fond of sports. I spent a lot of time outdoors. I was playing different sports games in the yard. In summer I swam a lot and became a school champion. In the 5th form I became a theatre-goer and spent all my free time in the theatre and sometimes I also went to the cinema.
When I was finishing school my parents bought me a computer. So I forgot about going to the theatre, to the cinema or visiting museums. Working with computers became my hobby. However soon I became tired of this hobby too, and decided to change it. I tried to paint pictures in my free time but I wasn't very good. I tried dancing and acting but soon I realized I could never be a success on the stage.
Then one day I had an idea to write a story about my dog. The story was rather short. It was not very clever or very interesting but it was my story and I liked it very much.
This is how I began to write stories about birds and animals. My little daughter liked to listen to them before she went to bed. She said that she was fond my new hobby.
Now it's difficult to say if it is my hobby or not as it is my work now. Ilike^ this work and I have already written five books for children.

4. People like to collect something, for example: coins, stamps badges, dry leaves, etc. It is easy and interesting. They can have a thematic collection.
5. I know some people who like to watch different kinds of programmers or films on TV. For instance, children are usually fond of films about animals.
6. A lot of people like to have pets at home . They take care of them, go for a walk with their dogs. They like to read books or watch films about animals.

7. Групповая работа.
You see, any hobby can be useful. Now you will work in groups. Choose one the most interesting and useful hobby .You will decide and discuss it all together, but only one pupil will prove it to me and other group.
Учащиеся работают в группах 3--4 человека. Каждой группе раздаются карточки (по одной).
От каждой группы заслушивается один человек, остальные могут помогать ему.
8. Итоги урока.
We had to do a lot of work today. You were active and worked well. I think today you will get only good and excellent marks. Thank you for the lesson. That is all for today. Goodbye
