  • Describing  jobs ,  talking  about  jobs , making predictions, sharing  ideas

  • To enrich students ‘knowledge concerning the theme.

  • To develop communicative skills and abilities through different communicative activities;

The expected results

  • say what happened in the past

  • write about an imaginary person’s life

The main idea

-create “Word band” based on the theme “Occupations”

-Pronunciation “Occupations”

-Working out: past form of the verb “to be”

Teacher notes about the lesson

(What will the teacher and pupils do during the lesson?)

I.Greeting: T: Good afternoon, dear pupils!
T: How are you, today? Are you ready for lesson? New English teacher.

T: Well, pupils, at first, let’s check the class atmosphere.

Who is on duty today?

Is anybody absent today?

What is the date today?
What day is it today?
What season is it now?
Do you like autumn?

What month is it now?
What is the weather like today?

II. Dividing into groups:

1st group: Actors

2nd group: Writers

3rd group: Painters

III.Warm-up: Look at the papers with the table on your desks. Take your pens and look at the white board. Follow the instructions:

  1. With your right hands draw a big circle and with the left hands draw a big triangle

  2. With your right hands draw three circles and with the left hands draw three triangles

  3. With your right hand write your names and with your left hands write your surnames

IV. Brainstorming:

Look at the pictures and match them with the names of professions.

VII. New theme:

Pair work:

  1. Ex 2 FACT or FICTION? Who were they? Match the photos with the names in the quiz.

  2. There are four mistakes in the quiz. Can you find them? Listen check and find the mistakes.

Warm up: Listen to the sentences about famous people from the past and test yourself.
