Theme of the lesson: Look at me

The Aims: forming the dialogical and monologue speech, learning the New words as: parts of body, brown, black, blonde, red hair, long, short, developing the learnt words, describing the objects using the New Vocabulary, presentation Present Simple, to teach to work in pairs, to discuss with class, talking on topic “Look at me”, developing listening and writing skills using the new vocabulary;

The Procedure of the lesson:

Warm-up: (Talking activity)

- Good morning, children. We’re having an interesting lesson today. Look what do you see on your desks? (in advance teacher put a few toys on each desk)

- Oh, I like toys. Are we going to play with them, teacher?

-What is your favourite toy?

- I like a cat. (I like dolls. I like cars. Etc.)

-Ok, dear. We’ve learnt the parts of body, colours at the previous lessons. Let’s describe the toys using our knowledge now! First, I describe one of them. The giraffe is tall. It is brown and yellow. It has 4 legs, 2 ears, 2 eyes and a long neck. Who will try like me?

Pupil1: I like dolls. The dolls have a nice dress. They are beautiful girls.

Checking the homework: Task 1: Parts of the body.

Teacher: Look at the board. There are 2 pictures for checking the homework. You must put the words correctly.

Task2: work in pairs

- On the board there are 4 pictures. After teacher says the describing words, the children will have to guess them. Each point is read 3 times.

1. It has brown eyes. It is big. It is pink. It is my favourite pet. (a dog)

2. It is white and grey. It has green eyes. It says meow. It likes to play. (a cat)

3. It has two long ears. It has big brown eyes. It is brown and white. (a rabbit)

4. It is pink. It has a red dress. (a doll)

Pre-presentation:

Look at me, children. I have green eyes and brown hair. My hair is short. My lips are red. We are continuing our theme of describing. Look at the board and repeat the words after me.

New Vocabulary: green eyes, blue eyes, blonde hair, red hair, long hair, short hair.

Presentation: (Matching)

Follow up: Exercise 3 p31. Listen, read and guess. Pupils are to listen the audio note, read the text in the book, and say the names of fairy tales’ heroes.

Questions (after doing the work): What colour are her eyes? What colour is her hair?
