Ход урока

1. Организационный этап урока:

Teacher - Good morning students and dear guests. We are glad to see you here.

(to the students) Would you mind reminding me some information? Answer my questions and use this table if you need.

1.What date is it today?

2. What date was it yesterday and will it be tomorrow?

3. What day of the week is it today? was it yesterday and will it be tomorrow?







Teacher - I see it's not easy to pronounce English sounds for you. Let's practice a little. Look, listen and read after me:

Teacher - I invite all of you to make a journey, may be to your future. This table will help you to answer my questions.

1. What is the name of the nearest international airport?

2. Have you ever used it or been there?

3. Where would you like to fly to?



Teacher - Well done. Your dreams are great. But will you feel comfortable in any international airport? Now you'll listen to one announcement. If you understand your flight number and your destination you will not miss your plane. Sorry, but I need to inform that your flight has taken off without you. How do you think what should we do to prevent it in real life?

At the security gate

Security Agent : Hello. Can I see your ID and the ticket please?

Passenger : Sure. Here's my ID and m ticket.

Security Agent : Thank you. You may proceed to the check-in counter.


At the check in counter

Agent : Good evening. Welcome to A1 Airlines. Please give me your ticket and ID.

Passenger : Here they are.

Agent : Thank you. Do you have any check-in baggage?

Passenger : Yes, I have one suitcase.

Agent : Okay. Any hand-baggage?

Passenger : Yes, I am carrying my backpack into the cabin.

Agent : Here's a security tag for your cabin-baggage please attach the tag to your bag.

Passenger : Thank you.


Choosing the seat

Agent : Would you like the window seat or the aisle seat?

Passenger : I think I will go for the aisle seat this time.

Agent : Sure sir. I can give you the aisle seat.

Passenger : Thanks. That will be very nice.

Agent : You're welcome. Your seat number is 6D.


At the Baggage checking machine

Guard : Please take out your laptops and mobile phone and put it in this tray.

Passenger : Alright.

Guard : You can proceed to the security check. Please remember to collect your items after the check.

Passenger : Thank you, I will.


At the security check

Guard : Please empty your pockets and put the contents in the tray, and hand me your boarding pass.

Passenger : Sure.

Guard : Please raise your hands and keep them raised while I inspect you.

Passenger : No problems.

Guard : Okay, you're cleared to go. Here's your boarding pass.

Passenger : Thank you.

Teacher - Next exercise will help you to check yourself. Read the following paragraph with a partner and

complete the sentences explaining procedures at an airport, using the clues provided. Time is

again limited, you have only 4 min to complete this text.

Suggested answers:

information about your flight as possible otherwise you'll stuck in this airport forever.


Great, you are right, your flight number is 1594159, you are going to Kiev and boarding gate is number 17.
