Revision of the previous lesson

Teacher: What animals do you know, children? ( shows the pictures of the  animals)

(students answer about the animal they have learnt)

 Teacher shows slides and asks learners: What do you see in the picture?(slide1)  

Learners should say the word correctly

Teacher asks learners: What can you see on the picture? (slide 2,3,4)        Teacher checks their knowledge of how they know the words of direction.

Teacher asks learners what the aim is the lesson.

Learners guess the theme, then teacher can introduce the topic of the lesson

Teacher writes some new words of directions:

Where is…? — …қайда?

How can I get to…?  — мен қалай …дейін бара аламын?)

Can you show me on the map? — картадан көрсете аласыз ба?

Turn right -оңға бұрылу

Turn left - солға бұрылу

Go straight - on тік жүру

Roundabout - айналым

Traffic lights – бағдаршам

Cross the street – жолдан өту

At the corner - бұрышта

Children repeat new words after the teacher and read themselves and write on their copybook

Listening comprehension.

Teacher shows them the video, children watch and listen, then the teacher aska some question about the video. (Do you like the video? What is it about? Where is the mummy? Where is dad? How dad and a child get to the park?.)

Tourist: Can you recommend a good bookstore?

Woman: Well, Bookinist is fantastic.

Tourist: Where is it?

Woman: On Charles Street.

Tourist: How far is it from May Square?

Woman: Not far. It’s just a couple of blocks along this road.

Tourist: Can I walk from there?

Woman: Sure. It’ll take you five minutes.

Tourist: Can you show me on the map?

Woman: Yes, May Square is here, and the bookstore is here. From May Square you go straight and take the second road on the left. That’s Park Street. Go down Park  and you’ll see the Bookinist on the right

Tourist: Thank you very much

Teacher gives children 3 minutes to prepare there own dialogues.
