Проблемы экологии
(комбинированный урок с видеоподдержкой)
Место в учебном процессе: третий урок по теме “The World’s Best Friend Is You”, 8 класс: УМК “Enjoy English 8”, авторы М. З. Биболетова, Н. Н. Трубанева. – Обнинск: Титул, 2013.
Цель: активизация лексики по теме «окружающая среда»
Задачи:
образовательная: активизировать лексико-грамматический материал по теме «Экология», Passive Voice, Present Perfect; учить аудированию текста на основе видеофрагмента
развивающая: вырабатывать логическое мышление, умение сопоставлять, давать оценку, выражать свое мнение;
воспитательная: формировать чувство ответственности за сопричастность к проблемам экологии; воспитывать чувство любви и бережного отношения к окружающей среде
Оборудование: компьютер, проектор, фильм “The greenhouse effect”
Ход урока
I Организационный момент
- Good morning! How are you? I’m very glad to see you again. Today at the lesson you will learn to use different word expressions to talk about ecological problems. (Слайд 1). Then you will watch the video “The greenhouse effect”. Besides, we will do a lot of tasks to learn to use sentences with the passive voice.
1. Фонетическая зарядка
- But first we must repeat the new words. Make up words using the letters. Use some letters several times. Pronounce the words correctly. (Слайд 2.Ученики составляют из данных букв слова, изученные на предыдущем уроке, и тренируются в их произношении).
- Now pronounce the words all together. Do it one by one.
Keys:
Pollution, atmosphere, smog, laws, protection, danger, throw, prohibit, harm.
2. Речевая разминка
- Now fill in the mind map. (Cлайд 3. Учащиеся составляют словосочетания со словами pollution и to protect. Примерные ответы: pollution - air pollution, water pollution, sea pollution, land pollution)
- You must match the words. (Слайд 4. В этом задании нужно соотнести причины и типы загрязнений).
II. Основная часть урока
1. Активизация лексики в речи
- Make as many sentences as you can out of the table “Global issues”. (Слайды 5 - 6. С опорой на выражения из таблицы ученики рассказывают об одной из экологических проблем).
2. Аудирование - просмотр видеофрагмента
- Now we are going to watch the video about the greenhouse effect. But first we must learn some words, which help you understand the information. (Слайд7.)
Снятие трудностей:
The greenhouse effect – парниковый эффект
Radiation – радиация
Absorb - поглощать
Carbon dioxide - углекислый газ
Oxygen - кислород
- Now, watch the video and try to understand it. Be ready to do some exercises.
Answer the questions: (Слайд 7. Ученики смотрят видеофрагмент о причинах и последствиях изменениях климата и отвечают на вопросы.)
What does sunlight give us?
What happens to the heat?
Why does the atmosphere become warmer?
Where does carbon dioxide come from?
- I see that you are tired. Let’s have a rest.
3. Физкультминутка.
Close your eyes. You are in your boat now in the middle of the water. Look around. What is it? It may be a pond, a lake, a river, a sea, an ocean. The water is calm … You are moving slowly … You are feeling calm … Your face is calm… Your body is calm … your arms are calm … Your legs are calm …
Now you are coming back. When you hear five open your eyes.
4. Совершенствование грамматических навыков.
- Read the poem “What have they done to the world?” and answer my questions. (Слайды 8-9. Ученики читают стихотворение «Что мы сделали с миром?» и отвечают на вопросы, используя Present Perfect.)
- Use is or are. (Слайд 10)
- Make sentences in Present Simple Passive. (Слайд 11.)
5. Работа с учебником
- Open your books at p. 44. See ex. 14. What do they show? (Picture 1 shows air pollution. Picture 2 shows cutting the trees. Picture 3 shows water pollution. Picture 4 shows pollution of the environment.) Write captions for the pictures using the text, ex.12 on p. 43. Well, are you ready?
Варианты заголовков:
The Air Is Polluted by Power Stations and Factories.
Forest the Size of Belgium Are Destroyed Every Year.
There Is a Lot of Litter in the Water.
We Live among Litter and Wastes.
- I see that you know the text quite well. Ex. 17, p.44. Work in pairs and find the sentences with passive voice. Read them aloud and translate into Russian.
- What environmental problems have people got? How can we solve them? What do you think is the first step?
Примерный ответ:
Animals and birds disappear. The air, the water, the environment are polluted. People pollute themselves with cigarettes, alcohol and junk food. To solve the problems people must stop throwing litter into the water or on the ground. They must stop polluting the air. People must stop cutting the trees. The first step to it is to make people think about the problems, to show them on TV or write about them in newspapers.
- I agree with you. That’s why you will try to it. Make a poster warning people about environmental problems. You may use the text and slogans from ex. 1, p. 40.
- You have done a lot today. We will see and discuss your posters at the next lesson.
III. Подведение итогов урока
- What new information have you learnt today? Which of the environmental problems do you think are the most dangerous? Which of the problems have we got at our place? Thank you for your work. The lesson is over. Good-bye.
