Урок разработан в адаптивной системе обучения с элементами развивающего обучения. В данной системе большое внимание уделяется самостоятельной деятельности учеников. Коммуникативные навыки развиваются в группах и парах различного типа. Используются разноуровневые задания для учащихся разных уровней обучаемости и обученности. В рамках такого урока эффективно проводится индивидуальная работа с учащимися на фоне самостоятельно работающего класса. Взаимоконтроль осуществляется при помощи карточек с алгоритмами и ключами.

ТЕМА: "Спорт в нашей жизни" ("Sport in Our Life")


ЗАДАЧИ:

  • совершенствовать механизмы аудирования по теме,

  • совершенствовать технику чтения вслух и умение чтения про себя с пониманием основного содержания по теме,

  • научиться высказываться логично о роли спорта в нашей жизни,

  • научиться выражать свое отношение к развитию спорта в нашей школе;

  • совершенствовать навыки работы в парах и группах,

  • развивать любовь к спорту, здоровому образу жизни, интерес к СпАртианскому движению.


ОБОРУДОВАНИЕ: ПК, проектор, экран, фильм о СпАртианских играх, фотографии спортсменов, рисунки, дидактический материал (карточки), жетоны, карточки учета, сигналы, диск с песней о спорте.

1. Самоцелеполагание. Мотивация

Good morning our guests, boys and girls. I'm glad to see you all. Our lesson today is devoted to sport, healthy way of life. Try to understand us. Well, my friends! You know your homework, know what we did at the previous lesson. Can you guess what we shal l do at this lesson?



Right you are.

Would you like to have a kind of sport day today? We'll be present at the conference devoted to the history of the Olympic Games, discuss the problems of the Olympic Movement, of the role of sport in the life of people, healthy way of life.








We'll talk about sport, its role in our life, about the history of the Olympic Games, see a film about our sport life, listen to a text about sport...

Let's mark the starting point of our conference; we are interested in the weather forecast. It's important for sportsmen.


The weather today is good for going in for sport. I wish you to be healthy in any weather.

You see we have many guests today: from GB, Canada and Australia. In order not to be ashamed of our pronunciation, let's train our English sounds. Do you know any proverbs and sayings connected with sport?

Let's hope that such story will not happen to you. Some of you also go to the swimming pools; others go in for volleyball and other sports. You are not indifferent to sport anyway.

Let's start our conference connected with the problems of sport. Let's cheer our delegates:



Gr. 1) Our guests from GB and Moscow will discuss the problems of sport in GB and Russia. Gr. 2) Our pen-friends from Canada and Australia (who are also involved in the Olympic Movement) want to know more about the history of the Olympic Games and about the Olympic Games in Moscow. They’ll prepare a mutual story.


Gr. 3) These pupils will talk about healthy way of life, the role of sport in their life

Gr. 4) These pupils from school №39 will tell us about the sport facilities of our school, about their participation in the Olympic Movement and invite us to the SpArtian Games in one of the gyms.

As you know there are no losers in the SpArtian Games, all are the champions. Let's hope that we’ll be the champions in our life.

The Angry Fan


This happened in Australia, during a water-polo game that was one of the main sports events of the season. There was nothing exciting at the beginning of the game; but suddenly one of the players jumped out of the water and ran to the referee. He said that one of the forwards of the other team had bitten him in the leg while he was swimming under water.

At first, the referee thought that it was some kind of a joke, but when the player pointed at blood on his leg, he had to believe that it was serious. He called the forward and asked him why he had done such a strange thing; and though the forward insisted that he had not bitten anybody, the referee made him leave the game.

They began again, but a few minutes later, two players, one from each team, climbed out of the water, shouting that somebody had bitten them. There was blood on both players' legs. The game was stopped, and they began to let the water out of the pool. When almost all the water was let out, everybody saw a young crocodile at the bottom of the pool.

Somebody had put the crocodile into the pool, but why?

The truth became known when the players returned to their dressing-room after the game and found a letter there.

"I have been a water-polo fan for many years," the author of the letter wrote, "and I am not satisfied with the way the players seem to act. They have allowed die game to become slow and uninteresting, and I have decided that 1 must do something to make them move faster. I don't think 1 can do this well myself, and I have decided that my crocodile will do it better."

The Olympic Games.


Two thousand five hundred years ago the first Olympic Games took place at Olympia, in Greece. Only athletes were allowed to compete in the Games.

Women were neither allowed to take part in the Olympic Games nor to watch them. The Games took place every four years, and the time between each Games was called an Olympiad.

The Olympic Games first took place in England in the 17th century. They were held from about 1612 till 1852.

The first official modern Olympic Games were organized in Athens the capital of Greece, in April 1896.Two hundred and eighty-five athletes from thirteen countries took part in the first modern Olympic Games. During these Games there were competitions in many kinds of sports.

The Greek team was the largest with about two hundred athletes. No women took part in these Games.

Women were allowed to take part in the second Olympic Games, which were held in Paris in 1980. There were six women at these Games. They took part in the tennis competitions.

At the fifteenth Olympic Games in Finland in 1952. Soviet athletes took part in the Games for the first time. Their results were good in every kind of sport. They won 71 gold, silver and bronze medals.

The Olympic Games have become a wonderful sports tradition. They help to bring peoples closer together.
