"Continents and Countries"- обобщающий урок по теме для учащихся 5 класса

Цель урока:

Образовательная – создать для учащихся необходимые условия для обобщения материала по теме «Страны и Континенты».

Развивающая – развивать память, логическое мышление, умение работать самостоятельно и в группе, умение высказываться по теме.

Воспитательная – воспитывать интерес к иностранному языку как средству общения между различными странами.

Задачи:

1. Осуществить совместное с детьми целеполагание;
2. Закрепить знание тематической лексики;
3. Способствовать формированию навыков устной речи путем создания ситуации диалога;
4. Совершенствовать навыки письменной речи при выполнение различного вида заданий.

Обеспечение урока:  ИКТ, карточки с названиями столиц и стран

1. Warm up:

• Good afternoon, children. You may sit. I’m glad to see you. How are you today?
• Fine, thanks. (OK…)

1. Vocabulary:

- Children, look at me, please. Let’s read aloud the words altogether. Who can translate this word? Учащиеся повторяют слова, которые учитель показывает на карточках.

     -  Почему мы повторили именно эти слова?

     - Они связаны с нашей темой. Страны и Континенты.

     - Вы знаете названия стран, континентов, национальностей,  столиц. Какую цель урока следует нам поставить?

     III.      Aim:

Today we’ll revise the words on the Topic “Continents and Countries”. And we’ll summarize the information about this topic together and in small groups. Who can tell me? What shall we do today?

1. Speaking:

• - Now let’s remember the reference material which we studied last lesson. Please, look at the map and answer my questions? Учащиеся фронтально выполняют задание.

1. What will you be able to see if you look at the Earth from space?
2. How many oceans are there on our planet?
3. How many continents are there? What are they?
4. What is the largest country in the world?

V.     Writing:

- Ok, very well. Next, you’ll work in pairs.

• You should match Continents and Countries. Учащиеся работают в парах и сопоставляют столицы и страны. Если все ответы верны, то пара получает отличную отметку.

- Next exercise. Look at the WHITE BOARD.

• You should fill the missing words.

Учащиеся фронтально выполняют задание.

• Write out the names of the countries:

1. arusis

5. Cdanaa
6. VI.     Homework

- Now, Let’s review your homework. What was it? Дети объясняют их домашнее задание.

• - Imagine that you are an International Conference. Say what you name (nationality) is ,where you are from and what language you speak.

(Nastya and Dima, please, go the the blackboard and introduce yourselves).

Ребята должны были придумать из какой они страны, нарисовать флаги и сказать какой они национальности.

              VII.      Review

• - Ok, let’s review what new information about the Earth and people on it you have learnt. We’ll work in groups
• - Please, find 6 mistakes in this text.

The planet we live on is the Moon. The Earth is not round. There are four oceans and five continents. The continents are: Europe and Asia, Africa, America, Australia, Antarctic. The continents are not very large. The largest country in the world is The United States of America. And the smallest country is the Iceland. Each country has its national flag and its own traditions and customs.

         VIII.     Summarizing

- Давайте вернемся к цели нашего урока. Как вы думаете, достигли ли мы ее?

- At home you’ll write the sentences on the topic “Continents and Countries”

• Remember 2 countries where you have already been.
• Write out sentences on the topic “Continents and Countries”.

1. What are these countries?
2. What are their capitals?
3. Find their national flag and say what their colours are.
