with the preposition by in their own sentences; Present Simple Passive, Present Perfect, Present Perfect Continuous. And improve their listening, speaking and writing skills.

Pragmatic competence: - to develop speaking skills; to enable pupils to impress their thoughts accurately

Greeting: (1 min) Good afternoon! How are you? Who is on duty today? Dear boys and girls! I am very glad to see you at our lesson. Today we are going to speak about many interesting things: your favourite holidays and other things.
Pre-activity: (5 min) Match the houses and their names. Click on the names to check your answers.
“And now, children, what season is it now? What holidays are there in winter? And what is your favourite one? Ok, let’s do some travelling. Have you ever been to Santa Claus’s village?. And now we are going to go there. Ready? Go!
Children look at the village and match the houses and with their names.

Objective: (Think about it.)
Children look at the pictures and think about the questions. Discuss what is happening.
Activity 2 Reading Objective: (Read.) Read the passage. Children listen and follow in their books. Tell children not to worry about individual words which they might not know. They should try to understand in general.

Activity 3 Reading and matching Objective: (3 Read and match.)
Some pictures are missing from the text on page 60. Children read the accompanying text and
find the right picture on page 61. They write its number underneath. Children can compare their answers. Answers: A 8, В 4, С 6, D 9, E 2
Activity 4 Reading and speaking Objective: (4 Answer these questions.) Children work in pairs and make notes of their answers, Discuss their answers with the whole class.
Show children how pictures can help to explain unknown words.
Activity 5 Words (5 Words.)
Objective: Find the past participles
All the past participles can be found in the passage and at the back of the Pupil's Book.
Activity 6 Reading and writing
Objective: ( Complete the sentences. Don't look at the text!)
Children are given some worksheets to do. Children use verbs from the previous exercise to complete the sentences.
When they have finished the exercise, they can look back and check.

*Talk about the picture: ask What’s the man doing? Is anyone helping him? Who is she?
Establish the meaning of mechanic.

Activity 8 Words
Objective: to find the names
*Children work in groups. With the help of the first and the last letters, they can refer back to the poem and work out the names of the parts of the car.
*Check their answer, putting the words on the board.
*Read the poem. Children listen and point to the various items as they are mentioned.
*They shut their books. Read the poem again. Children look at the board. When they hear a word,
they put up their hands.

Post activity:(5 min) Work book p.61, 62
- Can you name the key words of Present Perfect? (Children’s answers: for, since, yet, already, just, recently etc…) And now you are going to work with “for” and “since”.
Activity 9 Objective: Writing the participles, making the sentences with for and since.
Children write the past participles of the verbs and make the sentences using the verbs given and for, since.

Objective: making the sentences using Present Simple Passive
Evaluation: ( 1 min) Children get marks for their answers and work.
