Урок в 8 классе.
Цели урока: познакомить учеников с новой лексикой по теме и отработать ее в речи.
Развивать у учеников лексическую догадку и познавательный интерес.
Расширить знания учеников про разные черты характера человека.
Воспитывать уважение к людям и чувство товарищества.
Ход урока.
Тoday we are going to speak about people’s character. You’ll try to guess what your friends’ character is.
I.Have you ever read horoscopes? Do you believe any fortune tellers? Have you ever heard about art of face reading?
The ancient art of face reading is gaining popularity nowadays. The peoples’ lips can say a lot about their character.
But speaking about face reading you need some words.
Determined people are people who know what they want and they do everything to get it.
Ambitious people are those who want to be successful in life.
Decisive people are those who make decisions quickly.
Careful people are people who do their work with a lot of attention.
Responsible people are those who you can trust to.
Mean people are people who don’t like sharing things or spending money.
Generous people are those who love giving things to other people and help them.
Sensitive people are people who get upset easily.
Reserved people are those who don’t like showing their feelings.
Energetic people are those who work very hard.
Intelligent people are those who understand difficult subjects quickly.
II.Now you’ll work in groups. You have to decide which of the adjectives in the list are positive and which are negative.

III.Let’s return to the art of face reading .
1.What are people who have lips with down –turning corners like?

Students: they are bossy and responsible.
3.What are people with thin lips like?
Students: they are determined, mean and reserved.
4.What are the people with thin upper lip and full lower lip like?
Students; they are ambitious and energetic.
Look at each other and tell what kind of person your partner is.
