The theme of the lesson: “Food, food, wonderful food”

The aims of the lesson:

1) To practice in using the words, to enrich pupils knowledge, to develop pupils abilities in speaking, to enrich their vocabulary;

2) To develop the pupil’s creative and logical abilities, understanding, reading, writing , lexical skills.

3) To bring up love and interest to the subject, to respect each other, to create an English atmosphere in the classroom and to develop friendship.

Inter-subject connection: Kazakh, English

The type of the lesson: presentation

Methods of teaching: training, explanation, demonstration

Visual aids: books, pictures, cards, grammar tables.

The procedure of the lesson

I. Organization moment.

T: Good afternoon, pupils!

P: Good afternoon, teacher!

T: Sit down, please.

T: Who is on duty today?

P: I’m on duty today.

T: Who is absent today?

P: All are present.

T: What date is it today?

P: Today is the 27^thof January.

T: What day is it today?

P: Today is Wednesday.

T: Thank you. Sit down, please.

II. Phonetic drill.

T: Ok, pupils. Look at the blackboard. Now, we have a phonetic drill. I’ll read this phonetic drill then you’ll repeat after me.

Food, food, wonderful food!

Food in the morning …

Please make us some food

And we’ll eat it all the time!

III. Checking homework.

T: Now, let’s check up your homework. What was your home task for today?

P: Our homework was … .

T: Who is ready?

P: May, I.

T: Begin, please.

IV. Warm up.

V. The Presentation of the new theme.

T: Today’s our new theme is “Food, food, wonderful food”. Open your copy-books and write down today’s date and day, and the new theme.

All together put your pens and look at the blackboard

T: Today we have our new words. I’ll read these words then you’ll repeat after me.

bar of chocolate [ba: ɒv tʃɒk(ə)lət] – шоколадтың кесегі

slices of bread [slʌis ɒv brɛd] – нанның бөлігі

fizzy drink [‘fizi driŋk ] – газдалған сусын

fruit [fru:t ] – жеміс

bowls of rice [bəʊlz ɒv rais ] – тостағандағы күріш

VIII. Work with exercise

Harry: Have you got any oranges?

Nadia: Yes, we have

Have you got any bananas?

Harry: No, we haven’t

Nadia: We’ve got some eggs. Have you got any chesse?

Harry: Yes, we have

Have you got any rice?

Nadia: No, we haven’t

We’ve got some spaghetti. Have you got any yoghurt?

Harry: Yes, we have

Have you got any pizza?

Nadia: Yes, we have. Bye!

IX. Physical training moment

Stand up! Hands up!

X. Giving the home task.

T: Well, pupils your home tasks are ex. To learn by heart the new words.

T:Open your diaries and write down your homework.

XII. Giving marks.

T:The lesson is coming to the end. I think you enjoyed your English today. We have done a lot. Thank you for your activity. I’ll give you … marks.

XIII. Conclusion.

T: Have you understood the lesson?

P: Yes, we have.

T: Ok, pupils. Stand up, the lesson is over. Good-bye!
