ORGANIZATIONAL MOMENT

Teacher greets students; students respond to greeting and take their places. As a warming up learners sing good morning song.

Learners: We are fine, thank you!

Teacher: On my hand you can see schoolbag. In the schoolbag there are pictures with numbers one or two. You should take one picture and say it in English. If you choose number one you should join for the first group, if you choose number two you should join for the second group

Pupils pronounce basic words.

Teacher: Watch! Listen! Repeat!

1. Teacher presents the names of pictures through a short video presentation a house, a street, a fountain, a statue, a school, a park and learners repeat. (Teacher drills new words)

2.Teacher shows picture of new words and the learners name them without the teacher’s support

3. Learners listen and recognise new words



TASK 1. Individual work – Unscramble letters

Teacher: I’ll give you a card with unscramble letters. You should make up right words.

2. Learners are given worksheets with letters.

3. Learners recognize the letters and makes up words.

New grammar

Teacher will introduce with new grammar “there is\ there are”. The first on the white board will shows the video


TASK 2. Pair work

Learners practice with each other coming to the market of the school. Around the school there words and they should make up sentences using the “there is” and “there are”. Partner A should make sentences in singular form and Partner B should make sentences in plural form

TASK 3. Group work - Kurak Korpe

Teacher gives each group worksheets with new words translation and sentences without “is, are”. They should write “is” or “are” in the right place and translation of the new words If learners will find the correct answer they should stick green colour for answer “is”, for answer “are” they should stick yellow, for the translation - red colour
