 Type of the lesson: traditional lesson

Aims of the lesson:

         Teaching: to introduce with the long [ i] [y]

         Upbringing: to bring up pupils to respect each other, to be polite

         Developing: to develop pupils’ reading, speaking, listening and writing skills by teaching new lesson

Tasks of the lesson:  to learn to pronounce the short sound [i] [y]  correctly, to learn new words and word combinations 

Equipment: audio material, pictures, cards

Teacher’s greeting and putting up the aims. Good morning children. I’m glad to see you. How are you today? Who is on duty today? Who is absent? What date is it today? What day of the week is it now? What can you say about the weather?

First of all let’s check your home task. What was your home task? Teacher checks pupils’ home task.

Teacher’s asking information from the last lesson. Teacher gives a card with words to each pupil and they need to make Past Simple
