Many modern items we use in everyday life have come from the USA. . Many famous inventors are the citizens of the United States of America and this country still makes efforts to find out something new and incredibly important for people. Let us remember people, who have influenced the development of our surrounding.
Leonardo da Vinci (Leonardo di Ser Piero da Vinci) (1452 -1519) - the greatest Italian artist who made a great contribution to the art of the High Renaissance, a brilliant scientist, inventor, thinker, musician, the brightest example of a “universal human being”.
At the beginning of the creative path Leonardo almost all his time devoted to work on paintings
“ Mona Lisa” (1503-1507 )
Vitruvian Man” (1485)
No technical invention causes such awe and admiration as a flying machine. So there was a prototype of a hang glider. Using the device, built according to the drawings of the master, the world champion in hang-gliding Judy Liden was able to climb to a height of ten meters and stayed in the air for seventeen seconds.
Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790) - American politician, scientist, journalist. . Benjamin Franklin is an example of a person who was interested in everything that surrounded him, so it is not surprising that he tried to find answers to questions arising in his mind. His contribution to medicine is the invention of a flexible urinary catheter.
He is famous for his discoveries in physics. His most important inventions are a lightning rod, a Franklin stove, glass armonica and bifocals.
His contribution to medicine is the invention of a flexible urinary catheter. Franklin's appearance is embodied in a hundred-dollar bill, and Franklin was never president.
Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) was born in a family of American immigrants in the state of Ohio. At age 21, the scientist constructed his first invention. It was an electric device that recorded the voice. I could not sell the design. Edison holds more than 1,000 patents in the US alone and around 3,000 worldwide.
Edison invented a quadruplex telegraph, a gramophone, a kinetoscope (the prototype of a movie camera), a fluoroscope (X-ray machine), and much, much more. In total for his life he received 1093 patents for his inventions. The most famous of his inventions was an electric incandescent lamp.
Eli Whitney (1765 – 1825) is an American inventor and industrialist. He invented a cotton gin (cotton-gin), one of the first to design a milling machine, laid the foundations for organizing mass production in engineering.
March 14, 1794 Whitney received a patent for a cotton gin. The inventor and his companion Phineas Miller tried to collect a part of the processed cotton fiber from the planters for using the invention. Cotton production increased hundreds of times, but most planters ignored the patent.
Nikola Tesla (1856 – 1943) is a brilliant inventor, physicist and engineer of Serbian descent. He owns more than 100 patents in the field of electricity and wave physics. His most famous inventions are made in the field of electro- and radiomechanics.
In 1898, Tesla received a patent for an automatic submarine (No. 613809), which was powered by electricity. Laser - this invention of Tesla is the best example of how good and evil are woven in the mind of one person. Lasers revolutionized surgical operations and gave rise to much of our modern digital media. Since 1887 the world has learned about the theory of rotating magnetic fields
