The theme of the lesson: The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Nothern Ireland.

The aims of the lesson: a) to explain the new theme;

b) to use past and new words;

c) to develop pupils' reading, writing, listening and speaking abilities;

d) to have a conversation according to the theme;

e) to bring up pupils to be polite, friendly, outgoing and adventurous;

The method of the lesson: group work, question-answers, speaking.

Visual aids: crossword puzzle, pictures and an interactive board.

The procedure of the lesson:

Ladies and gentlemen, now is the time for our main event. We would like to invite our honourable mister/mistress to give a speech for the opening Ceremony of English week!

Thank you for the speech!

As we know, this week is the English week for our school. There will be many activities during this week. Such as crossword puzzle, English Quiz, Spelling Bee, Poem Recitation, Dictation, Newspaper Emulation and many more. We'll give you a charter. We hope that all pupils getas many benefits as they can. Be active! Good luck dear students!

Let's listen to the English song. Our beautiful girls are going to sing the song "I'm a big, big girl".
