Урок обобщения изученной лексики и грамматики по теме: «Животные в нашей жизни», 6 класс. Учебник «Enjoy English – 6».

Step 1.

Choose one of the tongue-twisters and read it:

1.The wise old owl sat in the oak

The more it heard the less it spoke.

?2.Where are you going, my little cat?

I’ m going to town to buy a hat.

What? A hat for a cat? A cat in a hat?

Who ever saw a cat in a hat?

Step 2.

¢Guess the words and write them down :

AVSE, WLROD, JECPROT, EFEDIGN, DILYA , IWGSN, GIZOLOCOAL, STOCIYE, SECTINS

Step 3.

Complete the dialogue:

?B: Hello!

?B:My name is Maria.

?A: __________________?

?B: Yes, I do. I like animals very much.

?A: _____________?

?B: I like cats and dogs, birds and fish.

?A: ________________?

?B: Yes, I have got two cats and a dog.

?B: I feed them three times a day.

A: Thank you, Maria! Bye – bye!

Step 4.

Put the verbs into correct tense:

? Ann is a pupil. She ( like) animals very much. At the moment she (look after) animals in the park near her school. Look! Ann ( feed) different birds. She already ( feed) two squirrels. They (like) her and ( not to be afraid) of her.

Last year Ann ( join) the Zoological Society of her town.

Now the girl (work out) her own project. S he ( fight) against cruelty to animals in the future.

Step 5.Choose and describe one of the animals:

You can use the plan:

?1. What animal have you chosen? Is it domestic or wild animal?

??2.Is it big or small ( kind, angry, beautiful, cunning, red, grey)?

?? 3. Where does it live?

??4. What does it like to eat?

??5. Did you read books or watch films about these animals? Where did you see this animal?
