В наше время, когда все шире и шире развиваются связи между разными странами и народами, знакомство с культурой страны изучаемого языка становится необходимым элементом процесса обучения иностранному языку. Ученик должен владеть информацией о стране, уметь провести экскурсию по городу, музею или выставке, рассказать гостям о своеобразии культуры не только своей страны, но и англо-говорящих стран. Принцип диалога культур предполагает использование культуроведческого материала о стране изучаемого языка, который позволяет развивать социокультурную компетенцию, а также расширять эрудицию учащихся, их филологический и общий кругозор.

Учителя, сознавая стимулирующую силу страноведческой и культурологической мотивации, стремятся развивать у учащихся познавательные потребности путем нетрадиционного проведения урока, поэтому данный урок проводится в форме экскурсии по музею литературной Англии.

В процессе изучения творчества английских писателей учащимся было дано задание подобрать новый или систематизировать уже знакомый материал по их творчеству по конкретным литературным местам и сдать его в письменной форме учителю. Затем педагогом была подготовлена презентация для сопровождения урока-экскурсии по литературным местам Британии, которая будет сопровождаться краткими выступлениями учащихся с целью обмена полученной информацией. Особое внимание уделено творчеству Шекспира и Байрона. Данный урок является обобщающим по этой теме.

  • The Globe Theatre is the English public theatre. It was built on the south bank of the river Thames in 1592. Theatre was a round building with the stage the center open to the sky and held 1200 onlookers. If it rained, the actors got wet. If the weather was too bad, there was no performance. A modern reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, near its original site, was unveiled in 1966
  • The Globe was opened by performance “Henry V . Many plays of William Shakespeare (“Othello"," Romeo and Juliet” and others) were produced and many works of B. Johnson received reputation here . But the Globe burned in 1613. In next year, building was rebuilt. And it was pulled down in 1644 by the parliament.

How do people honor writers?

  • People buy and read a lot of books in shops or go to the libraries (National Library of Scotland, The John Rayland’s Library and other) or visit to the special book and writers’ museum all over Great Britain (The National Portrait Gallery, Westminster Abbey, the British Museum and museum-houses so on).
  • They erect monuments and set statues.( The statue of Sherlock Holmes in Picardy Place was sat in honor Arthur Conan Doyle).
  • At the schools children learn life and works of great writers.
  • People celebrate the birthdays of the famous poets and writers.( Charles Dickens’ Festival in Rochester, Burns’ supper).
  • Modern people honor writers, when they go or read sights about them in Internet.
