Цели:

Практическая цель: познакомить жизнью и творчеством Уолта Диснея;

Развивающая цель: развитие памяти, мышления, воображения;

Воспитательная цель: воспитывать, любить творчества английских писателей; повысить интерес к изучаемому языку.

Задачи:

1)Повторение прошедшего времени;

2) Ознакомить с лексикой «мультфильма» Уолта Диснея;

3)Развивать умение и навыки в говорении.

Do you know this man?

     I think that everybody knows this man. His name is Walt Disney. To many people in our century his name means the world of cartoons. Disney has created a lot of short cartoons and many, many longer films.  The statue of Walt Disney on Main Street, USA, in Magic Kingdom, Disney World, Florida. His name is very famous and not only in America. Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, USA. Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, California. Then his family left that city in the North of America for a place in the South, in California. The earliest known drawings of Mickey Mouse by Walt Disney. When Walt Disney grew up, he began to draw pictures and to create  cartoons, and  one day he had an idea to make a mouse the main character of the cartoons. He told his wife  Lillian  about this cartoons. He saw this mouse character as a funny, friendly little thing, who  could  speak, dance and sing and who, in fact, could live like a man.

     “Two Disneys on one bike” Walt Disney and his wife Lillian were young and fond of good jokes. They built a bicycle-for-two where the riders sat side by side. "That's a good idea," Lillian said. "Call him Mickey." So that is what Disney called him. In 1928 the audience saw Mickey Mouse on the screen for the first time. Mickey became very popular with children and grown ups, and soon Walt Disney and his Mickey Mouse were famous stars.

Then came other characters:

«Snow White and the seven dwarfs», «Donald Duck», «Winnie-The-Pooh», «Pluto», «Peter Pan», «Cruella», «Chip and Dale», and many, many others. Some of them are bright, some are not, but all of them are usually kind and friendly. In fact, Disney has created a special animal world full of optimism and success. All Disney's stories are easy and nice to watch, his films end happily. The audience always feels comfortable and enjoys his cartoons very much. One day an idea came to Disney. He wanted to create a special place, a special land for children and parents to have fun together. So he built Disneyland in California near Los Angeles. It is a place for children of all ages.  It is also a place for their parents to return to the world of childhood because that is what happens when they spend a day at Disneyland! You can meet all the Disney characters, you can enjoy the nighttime water show “Fantasma”.

 Walt Disney died in December, 1966, when he was 66. Walt Disney's memorial star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. But he is not forgotten.
