The aim of the lesson: By the end of the extracurricular lesson pupils should use three languages (Kazakh, English, Russian) in their life.

The objectives of the lesson:

Educational:

To enrich pupils` knowledge of foreign languages, to show the importance of being well-educated.

Upbringing:

To bring pupils` up culture of communication and the need in practical use of languages.

Developing:

To develop pupils` intellect, speech, habits through speaking, listening, and

writing in three languages.

Communicative:

- talking about Polyglot people, introducing themselves, translating from English into Kazakh and Russian, finding antonyms, guessing riddles, answering the questions in three languages

Inter-subject connection: Kazakh, English, Russian, country study.

Methods of teaching: exercises, instruction, demonstration, practice, interaction, presentation, critical thinking, strategy pen in the middle,

The equipment of the lesson:

Visual aids: slides, clean papers for painting, colored pencils, cards with questions.

Technical means: board, interactive – board.

  • Good afternoon boys and girls! Welcome to our game “Polyglot”. So, we begin.



- The theme of our extracurricular lesson for today is “Polyglot”. Today we shall talk about polyglot people and we ourselves will try to be polyglots.


We are very glad to see you today. Welcome to our competition! I would like you to answer these questions and it will be breaking up for our today’s competition.


  1. Who studies at school?

  2. The source of knowledge?

  3. The translation of all the words you can find in this book.

  4. Complete the proverb “Knowledge is…..”

  5. A school for higher education or professional education.

  6. What is the colour of our state flag?

  7. Who is the head of Kazakhstan?



- The quotation made by the President of our Republic can be a slogan or epigraph for today`s extracurricular lesson.

- Қазақстан бүкіл әлемде халқы үш тілді пайдаланатын мәдениетті ел ретінде танылуға тиіс. Бұлар: қазақ тілі – мемлекеттік тіл, орыс тілі - ұлтаралық тіл және ағылшын тілі – жаһандық экономикаға ойдағыдай кірігу тілі.

- Казахстан должен восприниматься во всем мире как высокообразованная страна, население которой пользуется тремя языками. Это: казахский язык – государственный язык, русский язык – как язык межнационального общения и английский язык – язык успешной интеграций в глобальную экономику.

- Kazakhstan should be famous as cultural country which uses three languages: Kazakh – official language; Russian – language of interethnic communication; English – language of global economics


Our competition consists of 4 rounds. Жарыс 4 турдан тұрады.

2. «Ең күшті топ» сайысы – «The best team» competition – соревнование «Самая сильная команда».

3. Антонимдерді тап – Find the antonyms – Найди антонимов

4. Жұмбақтар – Riddles –Загадки

5. Қорытынды – conclusion –итог


We must choose our jury -

Сонымен бастайық - so, we begin. There are two teams from two countries here`s. Kazakhstan. Russia. Let`s welcome them.


Each team calls their names, introduce themselves and introduce with their emblems.

Әр топ өз атын, өздерін таныстырып және аталған елдің эмблемасы мен туымен таныстырады.

Әр топ карта бойынша аталған мемлекет туралы мәлімет береді.

Our task is called thin questions. In this task I want to use the strategy pen in the middle. You should put your pens in the middle of the desk and I will choose one of them and the owner of the pen from each team will answer to the questions in three languages.

You will be given the sheets with adjectives. Find the antonyms and translate.

Three members from each team go to the blackboard and read riddles. Riddles are in three languages. Guess the riddles and name the answer in three languages.
