To present  new  theme, to create as  much interest as possible in the subject of the text,  to teach them how to write  the holiday postcards.

Pupils  will take an information about holiday  postcards,  learn how to write a postcard   and  enlarge  pupils` vocabulary

I. Organization  moment

-Good  afternoon  pupils!

- How  are  you?

- OK, It is very good.

-  Who is  on  duty  today?

- Who  is  absent  today?

-  What is  the  date  today?

-  What  day  is  it  today?

-  What  season  is  it  now?

-  What  was  your  home task for  today?

-  Thank you,  sit  down  please.

OK, pupils  thank  you,  take  your  seats  please. And  now   let’s divide into two groups. I give  you holiday   postcards. You can choose one, which you are liking.

The name of the first group is      Kazakhstan

The name of the second group is  France. 

- Good  afternoon  teacher!

- We  are  fine.

  •  I`m on  duty  today.
  • All  are  present
  • Today  is  the 20th of  May.
  • Today  is  Saturday.
  • It is  spring  now
  • Our  home task  is

Pupils  choose  the  pictures and  divide  into  two  groups

II. Checking home task

Now  pupils,  I want  to  check  up 

your home  task  with  the  method   of “Catch the question”   At  first, pupils  you must  stand in a  circle.  And  I  throw you a little bag  with questions.   These  questions about Kazakhstan   and Britain. You must catch the bag   and answer the questions. If you  don’t know answer, you can throw  it to other pupils.

1. What money can you use in Britain?

- You can use pence in Britain.

2. Where can you stay when you are in Britain?

- You can stay in restaurants when you are in Britain.

3. How can you get  around in Britain?

-  You can get around by double - decker bus in Britain

4.Where can you get a cheap meal in Britain?

- You can get  a cheap meal   in fast food shops and hamburger shops  in Britain.

5. Where can people relax in Kazakhstan?

-People can relax and sunbathe at Kapchagai reservoir and skate on Medeu in Kazakhstan.

III. New theme 

      Pupils our new theme is Holiday postcards. Now  we are going to speak about the different types of postcards and  about the countries such as France, Kazakhstan and etc.

Look  at  this  video about  France  and  Kazakhstan.(watching this video pupils  memorise about countries)

Working with the new words:

Trip [trip] -  саяхат, путешествие

Dull [d^l] –  қызықсыз,  скучный

Safe   [seif]-  қауіпсіз , безопасно

Delightful [dilaitful] –    тамаша,  восхитительный

Comfortable  [k^mfotәbl] – ыңғайлы, удобный

Quiet    [kwait]-         тыныш,  тихий

Pupils  must  repeat new  words  after  the  teacher.

And  copy  out  the new  words.

 Main  part    Brainstorming  (individual work)

Pupils  look  at the  interactive  board  and learn  how  to  write  the holiday  postcard.  Now  you can follow these five steps.

     Step 1

   You  must take  your postcards. It could have a picture of the     

   place you’re at on it.

Step 2

Write the information as follows:

1. Write the receptionist’s name and address on the lines right hand side of the postcards. 

2. The left hand side of the postcards for your message. Start by writing “Dear …( the name of the person you are writing to)”.

 3. Leave a line and state where you are and what it’s like, for example: “I’m in Paris, it’s great”.

Step 3 now, for example: “I’m writing this postcards to you while I’m waiting for the double-decker tour bus”.

Step 4

Dear …

We’re in Paris, it’s great. The hotel is lovely, it has a big fountain outside and there’s a beautiful view from our window. Yesterday we went on a boat trip across the river. I loved finding out about all the different sights in the city.

 Wish you were here. Love (your name) xxx or Sincerely (your name).

Step 5

Stick a stamp onto the top right corner of the postcard and send it.

         

        

Now, pupils  you must send your postcards each other. And mark  each other with smiles.

Write a sentence about what you’re doing right

Pupils  must  complete their  postcards,  following  the  power  point presentation.

 Task 1(Pair  work)

Ok, pupils thank you very good. Let’s do next task.

Now I give  you  the  dialogue with  the  method  of  “ Mosaic”, you must  complete and  read and quickly translate  the dialogue in a role between Ainur and Janet.

 Read the conversation.

Ainur : Hello, Janet! How was your trip to Paris?

Janet: It was wonderful. I enjoyed it.

Ainur : Do you go to Paris?

Janet: Yes, it’s a beautiful city. It’s like a big museum.

Ainur: What did you do there?

Janet: Well, I visited the Louvre, the pyramids are great! Of course, I climbed the Eiffel Tower.

That was fantastic! Do you want to see my photos?

Ainur: Sure!

Let’s mark pupils with the fingers.

First group, how do you assess  the  answers for the second group?

Do you like the answers?

And the second group what do you say?

Pupils  must  complete and  read and quickly translate  the dialogue in a role between  Ainur and Janet.
