Class: 10 A

Title: “Intellectual Marathon".

The goal of the game: Activation of students' interest in learning English; determination of the level of language acquisition, formation of skills of teamwork, cooperation.

Tasks: 1) activate the language guess;

2) contribute to the semantic perception of foreign language material;

3) develop the skills and abilities of lexical and grammatical registration of speech utterances.

Cabinet design: On the board the name of the game “Intellectual Marathon”, cards with letters of the English alphabet, a square with numbers, sheets of paper, a board, chalk, cards with a task, a tablet with a task.

2. "ETHNIC". Task: to find the correct Russian equivalent to an English proverb. For each correct answer,.

.4. PHONETIC. Task: to pronounce a tongue twister. Each team member chooses his own tongue twister and prepares for 30 seconds. For the correct and fast pronunciation of the tongue twister, the participant receives 2 points. The maximum number of points is 16.

7.GRAMMATICAL STATION. Task: to collect 3 sentences from words on the topic "Britain" (each sentence is cut into separate words on the cards). For each completely correctly assembled sentence.

Sentences:
When I think of England I imagine the Queen and the Royal Family.
The British are considered to drink a lot of tea.
Before Barbara arrived she had thought that she knew everything about England.
