Тема урока : «Магазины и покупки»
Цели урока : тренировать активную лексику в диалогах и монологах ; научиться составлять предложения с опорой на схемы и картинки ; научиться находить нужную информацию в тексте; развивать внимание; научиться работать в группах и парах; воспитывать вежливость.
Оборудование : картинки с магазинами и товарами, схемы диалогов

Вступительная часть.

T: Good morning, children!
P: Good morning, dear teacher ! How are you?

Warming-up
T: Answer my questions: How are you? Where do you live? Do we buy meat at the butcher’s or at the baker’s? What is your favourite food? Do you like going shopping?
Well done! And now let’s train phonetic drills. Repeat the rhyme after me
Where did you go, my little cat?
I went to the shop to buy a hat!

T : Today we are you going to speak about shops and shopping. It is very important, because we need a lot of things for our life. We can’t go to any shop if we don’t know the names of departments and things we can buy there. Let’s say them with the help of a chant.
All: at the butcher’s, at the butcher’s.
P1: I can buy meat at the butcher’s.
All: At the butcher’s, at the butcher’s.
P2: I can buy meat and sausages at the butcher’s.
All : At the butcher’s, at the butcher’s.
P3: I can buy meat, sausages and chicken at the butcher’s.
(at the baker’s, at the grocer’s etc.)
Guessing game
T: Let’s play the game ”Guess the place ”. One of you describes a shop (the butcher’s, the greengrocer’s, the chemist’s) and other students guess what it is. Example : P1 : I can buy sugar and tinned fish there. They also sell oil there. P3: This is a grocery shop. (4-5 variants)
T: Let’s have a rest and sing a song:

T: Imagine, that we are at the department store. (there are pictures of different departments, goods with special prices on the board). But you see there are no shop-assistants here. What shall we do? Some of the students will be shop-assistants.
Role-play ( acting out a joke)
Hare comes to the butcher’s. Shop –assistant:
What can I do for you?
Have you got any carrots?
No, go to the greengrocery.
Thank you.
On the next day:
Have you got any carrots?
But I told you ! Go to the green grocery!
On the next day:
Have you got any carrots?
We don’t sell vegetables! If you come once more I’ll take a gun and shoot you.
On the next day:
Have you got any gun?
No.
Have you got any carrots.
T: Thank you, children. Your joke was funny and it will help us to do the next task. Divide into 2 teams. Each team gets stripes with parts of the dialogue. Put the stripes in the correct order and read the dialogue.
