Урок – заочное путешествие по теме «Виды Лондона»

5 класс.

Цели урока:

1. Развитие лексических навыков.

2.Тренировка монологической и диалогической речи по теме «Достопримечательности Лондона».

3.Тренировка навыков аудирования.

Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

ознакомить учащихся с новым страноведческим материалом по теме «Лондон »;

практиковать речевую деятельность: аудирование и монологическую речь;

активизировать лексику по теме, расширять словарный запас.

Развивающие:

развивать умение сравнивать и обобщать изучаемый материал;

развивать умение высказать свое мнение на английском языке.

Воспитательные:

воспитывать уважительное отношение к культуре и истории другой страны;

воспитывать умение работать в паре;

расширять кругозор учащихся.

Форма урока: урок – путешествие.

Оборудование: аудио-запись “Big Ben”, видеоматериал о Лондоне, слайдовая презентация, аудиозаписи песен на английском языке, иллюстрации «Достопримечательности Лондона», компьютер.

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент. Лексическая разминка.

Good morning, children. I am glad to see you. Sit down, please. Who is on duty today? Who is absent? Thank you. How are you? Good. Today we are going to speak about the sights of London and to learn more information about them. Our lesson will be unusual. We’ll make a trip to London.

So, let’s start. But first we are going to learn a small poem about London.

T: We are going to make our trip on the famous English bus called “Double-decker”. This is our group of Russian tourists. They want to know everything about London. And these are our guides. And they know everything about London and its sights.

We’ll visit some places of interest on a red double-decker bus. It is waiting for you. The bus will stop at the stations. Let’s speak about them when the bus is coming up.

Guide 1. - And now you can see The Houses of Parliament.

It is the place where the British government seat.

T2. – Oh, my God! What is this?

G2. - It is the Westminster Abby.

It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. It is very old. It is more than nine hundred years old. There are many monuments and statues there. Many English queens and kings are buried there.

T1. – How it is beautiful! What is it?

G1. - Here you can see St. Paul’s Cathedral.

It is one of the greatest English churches. It was built in the 17^th century after the Great Fire. It is the beautiful building with many columns and towers.

T2. – It is wonderful! What is this?

G2. - The Tower Bridge is known all over the world.

It is one of the most beautiful bridges in the world. It has two large towers on both sides. Near the bridge is the Tower of London.

T. – Where do you live?

Q. – You can see the Buckingham Palace. I live in the Buckingham Palace. It is my official residence. It is a wonderful building. I receive guests in this palace. My children, grandchildren live here.

T. – Your, grandchildren ? And how old are you?

Q. – It is impolite to ask a woman about her age. Good bye!

T. – I’m sorry. Good bye.

Tourist 1. –Who are you?

Sherlock. –I am Sherlock Holms.

T2. –What are you doing?

Sh. – I am the most famous detective in the world.

T3. – Wow! Where do you live?

Sh. – I live in Baker Street with my friends doctor Watson and misses Hudson. Doctor Watson helps me at my work. Misses Hudson looks after our home.

T4. – What is your greatest investigation?

Sh. – This is investigation about Baskerville’s dog. It was very difficult and dangerous but I could investigate it. I am a very clever detective.
