The aims: 1.To enrich pupil’s knowledge about Kazakhstan

2. The bringing up aims: To develop pupils’ habits in speaking, retelling, listening, translating and to check  their understanding

4. To bring up patriots of our Motherland

5. The supplementary materials: The map of Kazakhstan, cards, pictures, portraits of famous people, computer, a video-cassette-player and TV.

- I’m fine too, thank you! Today we are going to have an unusual lesson. Teachers from our school have come to visit us. Let’s greet them!

Love of Motherland comes to people in different ways. For some people their Motherland begins in a city street. For other people it is their own village or a house in which they have grown up. Usually this place is “the best place in the world”.

 Now look at the blackboard and answer my question

Kazakhstan is my Motherland

      Kazakhstan was established as the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 1991. A total area land of over 2,724.900 million square kilometers. The population is about  16,870,000. This country shares its border with the Russian Federation to the north and north – west; to the east with China and to the south with the central Asian republics of Kirgizstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

       The Ural River flows through the western part of Kazakhstan to the Caspian Sea. The central region of the country includes the Kazakh Steppe to the north and deserts of central Asia in the south – west. The Altai mountains can be found in the east.

       The country is reach with mineral recourses such as copper, gold, iron, nickel, silver, zink with deposits of oil and natural gas.

       The largest city of Kazakhstan is Almaty. Almaty was the capital until December 1997 then it was moved to Akmola. In May 1998 Akmola was renamed  Astana.

       Kazakhstan, with the world’s ninth largest area, has many beautiful places and a rich culture. The official language is Kazakh and Russian is the language of international communication.

 There is nothing better and the most expensive in the world  like Motherland. It gives us wings for flight. It is impossible to choose Motherland. It can be only loved.

For me my motherland begins in my own village, in which I have grown up. May be this place is usual and uninteresting for other people, but for you it is the dearest place in the world.

1. На первом этапе учащиеся повторяют слова на английском языке хором за учителем.

2.  Затем каждому ученику дается одно слово для перевода и дети  самостоятельно интерпретируют значение слов.

Kazakhstan is my Motherland

Kazakhstan was established as the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 1991. A total area land of over 2,724.900 million square kilometers. The population is about 16,870,000.
