Org moment: Greeting students.

Setting the aim of the lesson:

The aims of the lesson:

  • develop vocabulary on musical instruments

  • using topical vocabulary to describe pictures

Lead-in

Teacher should have some cards prepared in advanced that have the names of different instruments (guitar,violin,drum). Then the pupils will divide into three groups.

Checking up of the learnt materials: “Mine area” method

Students then in their copybooks write down the new learnt instruments

Teacher may differentiate the activity by giving the less able students options to choose from when describing objects in the classroom.

Introducing of the new material:

Teacher will introduce the students with the words of the lesson.These words will be shown in PPT

“Relay”method.

Students will do the matching exercises from the student’s book on page 79.

Group work:

Read and replace the texts and answer the questions

Warming up exercise:

The word bank”method.Teacher will gives to each group sheets of papers with the shaken letters and students will make correct words
