The theme: The Present Perfect Tense


The aims: a) educational: to explain the use of the Present Perfect tense and give some information about the places of interest in London; b) developing: to develop pupils’ grammatical skills; c) cultural:  to teach pupils to respect each other  and the culture of another  nations, to form the communicative competence

The type of the lesson: mixed lesson  The type of the lesson: mastering new material
Teaching methods: speaking, writing, completing, comparing, reading.
 

The procedure of the lesson:

I. Organization moment

a) greeting: Teacher: Good morning, pupils!

b) warm-up activity

Teacher: Who is on duty today and who is absent?

Pupil: I am on duty today, all are present.

II. Checking up the homework

to learn the active words

III. New lesson.

The Present Perfect Tense

I have already eaten my breakfast.           Have they eaten their breakfast yet?

She has seen that movie before.                Has she seen that movie before?

I haven’t  eaten my breakfast yet.

She hasn’t  seen that movie before

Helping words

Adverbs: already, just, never, ever, recently, lately, yet, this year (month, week, morning)

Prepositions: for, since

Task 1. SCRAMBLED SENTENCES. Make up sentences with the correct word order.
