Consolidation work with words on the theme: Food, drinks:
a) pupils make new words out of letters, write them on the board & read them:
o f d o - food etc.
b) listening to the tape-recorder, repeating the words after the speaker, saying which of them are uncountable and countable (a box with the things of the food & drink on the blackboard) dividing thinks into countable and uncountable nouns.
c) there is a list of words on the table:
lemonade, cheese, apples, ham, orange juice, milk etc.
pupils put them into the correct column
meat vegetables fruit dairy products drinks
Story “Stone-Soup”
All pupils like reading and listening to fairy tales. I’d like you to listen to the fairy tale about magic soup
Listening to the story with the books opened, pupils circle the things in Ex.1 p.42 (things which Tramp put in the soup) then check it.
Ex.2 p.43 – complete the sentences from the text

There is one more task: odd the words out & explain why.
Imagine we are in the kitchen. There is a cupboard with food & drinks. Write five things of food & drinks, don’t show them to your partner. Pair work .
