Тип урока: систематизация и обобщение знаний учащихся по теме: «Спорт».
Цели урока:
Образовательная
-активизировать употребление в речи учащихся ЛЕ по теме «Спорт»;
-организовать общение по данной теме;
Развивающая
-развитие логического мышления, памяти, речевых навыков;
-коррекция произносительных навыков;
-развитие навыков аудирования;
Воспитательная
-способствовать воспитанию у учащихся необходимости заниматься физкультурой и спортом;
-расширять знания учащихся о значимости спорта в жизни человека и здоровом образе жизни.
Оборудование:
Тексты для чтения; иллюстрации с различными видами спорта; пословицы о здоровом образе жизни; раздаточный материал для различных видов работы.
ХОД УРОКА
AIM
1.Good morning, pupils! Today we finish our work at the theme “SPORTS”. You have learnt a lot of words and expressions. We shall revise the material of our previous lessons and speak about thе role of sports in the life of a person. You know that millions of people go in for sports. And it is really great. At the same time a great number of people do not go in for sports. Some of them realize that sport is useful but they prefer watching sport competitions on TV. But I hope you are real lovers of sports and I believe that sport plays an important role in your lives. So the theme of our lesson is “Sport in Our Life”.
But first of all I want you to revise some proverbs about healthy lifestyle:
1) A healthy mind in a healthy body.
2) Early to bed, early to rise makes you healthy, wealthy and wise.
3) Apple a day keeps the doctor away.
WARM – UP
Now let`s remember some kinds of sports. The task is: give one word for the following definitions:
- A game for 2 teams that you play with a ball and a basket. (basketball)
- A game that you play on a board. (chess)
- A game for 2 teams that you play with the sticks on the ice-ground. (ice-hockey)
- A game for 2 or 4 players who hit a ball with rackets across a net. (tennis)
- This kind of sport includes things like running, jumping and others. (athletics)
- A game played by 2 or 4 persons with a small hard ball which is struck with clubs into holes. (golf)
- A team game played with oval ball. (rugby, football)
- A person that trains sportsmen in this or that kind of sport. (trainer)
- The greatest international sports competitions. (Olympic Games)
3. I`m glad you know vocabulary and different kinds of sports. And now let`s discuss today`s theme. I have some questions for you.
-What kinds of sports are popular in Ukraine?
-Is sport important to you? Why?
-What kinds of sports are popular in our lyceum?
-Do you prefer going in for sports or watching it on TV?
-What is your favourite kind of sport?
-Why do you think sport is a part of our everyday life?
-Who is the best sportsman in your group?
I see almost all of you are good athlets. Thank for your good job. It was interesting to find out about sport in our country and lyceum and about your attitude to it.
4. The next task will be in writing. Now you`ll work in groups. You have to put the prepositions and adverbs where necessary.
1) Sport is very popular … our country. It serves to keep … the body healthy and strong.
2) What kind of sports do you go … for? I am fond … skating.
3) Sport … one kind or another is practised … schools, factories and plants.
4) When we entered … the hall they were training … jumping.

6. Now read, please, some opinions about sport. Then answer:
“Who is for watching and who is for participating?”
BOB: Sport is an important part of my life. I like to take part in sports competitions. I play in our school basketball team. I think that it helps me in different ways. First of all sport builds character. It teaches to win or to lose. It makes you strong, fast and patient. More than it makes men out of boys and women out of girls. Besides it teaches you about life. And it is a good way to meet people, even from other countries. But for you must be a good sportsman.
MRS. BROWN: I can`t say that sport is very useful. It takes a lot of energy and time. Children often no time for doing things that teenagers like doing. Sport needs only to work, work and work hard. As a result they have broken legs and arms and other injuries. There is no good in sport, it`s necessary only to be fit. And for it there are PT lessons at school.
Now tell me, please, are you against or for sport?

7. Put different kinds of physical activity in the order of importance. Work in groups.

pupils, let`s summarize what you can already say about Now, sports in the life of a person. Look on the BB. You can see the volcano. We have to put it out. Choose one word, make the sentence with it and then cross it out. Try to make your sentences logically connected. Let`s start.

11. Now our lesson is almost over. And I want you to give some advices to each other. I`ll start:
- Do morning exercises every day.
- Sleep 8 hours every night.
- Take long walks in the open air.
- Wash your hands before meals.
- Keep your body clean.
- Go in for sports.
- Keep your teeth clean.
12. Homework: write your own recipe of being healthy.
