Цель урока:

Образовательная:

  • повторить и изучить слова и выражений по теме «Моя cемья» и «Семейные взаимоотношения», развивать умения их использования в речи;

  • формировать и совершенствовать фонетические, лексические и грамматические навыки;

  • формировать навыки говорения, письма и чтения;

  • формировать умения говорить о взаимоотношениях в семье

Развивающая: 

  • развивать навыки аудирования; восприятия и понимания иноязычной речи на слух;

  • совершенствовать развитие навыков устной речи на английском языке в рамках заданной учебной ситуации;

  • развивать навыки неподготовленной устной речи;

  • развивать память, внимание, воображение.
    Воспитательная: 

  • формировать уважительное, толерантное отношение к членам своей семьи;

  • формировать уважительное отношение к семейным ценностям, умение строить продуктивные, доверительные отношения внутри семьи;

  • воспитывать уважительное отношение и интерес к изучаемому языку.

Межпредметные связи: связь с предметами «Обществознание» и «Литература»

 Оборудование:

  • учебник : “Spotlight”, 11 класс.

  • мультимедийный экран, презентация, раздаточный материал (рабочие листы).

Вид урока: стандартный


Методы.

Словесные методы - рассказ, объяснение, устный опрос, беседа, мозговой штурм (Brainstorming), чтение, составление диалогов.

Наглядные методы – работа с карточками, демонстрация видеоролика, мультимедийная презентация.

Практические методы – методы упражнений, метод кооперативного обучения, выполнение заданий на подстановку недостающих слов, умение работать в группе.

  1. Организационный момент. Введение в англоязычную атмосферу.

(приветствие, проверка отсутствующих).

Т: Good morning, students! Good morning, our guests. How are you? I am glad to see you! I hope everybody is ready to work. Sit down, please. Let’s start our lesson. What date is it today? Write it down into your worksheets. Who’s absent from the class? Thank you.

  1. Повторение ранее изученного материала.

Т: Well, students, Let’s remember what we spoke about at our previous lesson.

Ss: We spoke about family members.

T: What are they?

Ss: They are mother, father, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, nephew, niece, mother-in-law, cousin, uncle, aunt, husband, wife, daughter-in-law, …

T: Let’s remember family ties. (слайд 2)

My mother's sister is my …. (aunt).

My daughter's brother is my … (son).

My mum and dad are my … (parents).

My sister's son is my … (nephew).

My brother's daughter is my … (niece).

My wife’s mother is my … (mother-in-law).

T: To have a start we must do some phonetic exercises. Pay attention on the

T: Very nice, students. And now look at the screen, please. Let’s read and translate this quotation. "Happy families are all alike; every unhappy family is unhappy in its own way" (Leo Tolstoy). (слайд 4)

What work are these words from?

Ss: Anna Karenina.

T: That’s right. This is Leo Tolstoy's quote that opens the novel Anna Karenin and is the epigraph to our lesson today.

So, what makes a happy family? We will look for answers to this question as we progress through our lesson.

T: What are we going to speak about today? What do you think?

Ss: About family.

T: You are absolutely right, students. We are going to speak about family and family relationships. Write down the topic of our lesson. (слайд 5)

T:Today we are having an unusual lesson and I do hope that we will have an unusual atmosphere. You are divided into two groups (group A and group B) but you will work as one united team.

T: Are you ready?

Ss: Yes, we are.

Brainstorming (интеллектуальный штурм)

T: Now look at the screen please. Who’s on the photo? Who are they? (слайд 6)

Ss: They are the family (студенты называют всех членов семьи)

T: Is this family happy? Why?

S1: They are happy because they are smiling and laughing.

S2: They are sitting together.

T: You are quite right. They are united family.

Are you happy today? Why?

Ss: I’m happy because I have nice relationships with my……

T: What do you usually do together as a family?

Who usually goes shopping in your family?

Who usually cleans the house?

IV. Актуализация опорных знаний.

T: Now listen to me, students. What relationships are possible within the family? How you get on with other members of your family depends on many factors.

Family relationships largely depend on our character and behavior.

At our previous lessons, we spoke about character qualities and appearance. You described your friends.

Let's go over our active vocabulary on these topics. Look at the screen. Read and translate these words: (слайд 7)

rude, social, beautiful, polite/impolite, tall, well-dressed, selfish, slim, patient/impatient, old-fashioned, respected, plump, attractive, caring, loyal, young, honest, elderly, aggressive, stubborn, good-looking, well-meaning, pretty, nice

T: Now you should decide which of them are character traits and which we use to describe appearance. One representative from each group, please come to the board. I will give you stickers with words and your task is to place them correctly into the table. ( К доске выходят по одному представителю из группы и приклеивают стикеры под appearance и character traits. Остальные работают в группах) (Task 1)

T: Now we are going to watch a short video. The film represents a short family drama. Look at the screen, please. Watch, listen and remember. (слайд 9)

T: What does the woman look like?

Ss: She is old, old-fashioned?

T: Does she have any life problems? What do you think?

Ss: Yes, she does.

T: Who does she meet and why?

Ss: She meets her daughter. She wants to talk to her.

T: What does Sarah look like?

Ss: She is good-looking, well-dressed.

T: What does Sarah say to her mother?

Ss: She is selfish.

T: Is Sarah caring daughter? What is she like?

Ss: She is impolite, selfish, impatient.

T: Is this family happy?

Ss: No.

T: The family in which one of its members is unhappy is an unhappy family. What is the main problem?

Ss: Misunderstanding.

T: What advice would you give to Sarah? Discuss it in groups.

S1: Be caring.

S2: Think more about her mother.

Children that grew up in happy families often say that their family was brought closer together by small rituals and family traditions. Certain dishes on certain days, special cakes for their birthdays, travelling together, games together, traditional road trips every year. Other people say that having at least one meal a day together was the most important custom of all.

Many psychologists and parents believe that "a family that laughs together, stays together." Lots of people will tell you that laughter, fun and games are one of the key aspects of a close-knit family. The choice of games can vary – board games, puzzles, video games, etc.

Believe it or not, many happy families claim that even household chores can be good bonding activities. Activities like cleaning windows, doing dishes, or raking the back yard give good opportunities to talk and catch up.

1. Talk to your family members at the end of the day.

2. Spend more time with your family members.

3. Show genuine concern about your family members.

4.Take interest in the interests of each of your family members.

5.Be a good listener.
