The aims:

1. to give pupils new theme about the weather,

new lexical words explanations.

OK. Today we are going to speak about seasons and weather of the year. We will revise some vocabulary. You are going to listen to several poems and songs seasons, to play games, to do different tasks

Now, we are repeat last theme. Last lesson we are speak about adjectives. Tell me please, what is adjective?

Example: wonderful season

3. Summer is the most wonderful season.

Who can tell me about seasons in a year.

Summer is a lovely season. It’s hot or warm. There is sunshine. It is bright. Sometimes it rains but the weather is marvelous. People like this season. They go on holidays, swim, sunbathe, and grow fruit, vegetables and flowers. Children do not go to school. They go to the camps, play games, and go rollerblading.

Spring come to the after Winter. The weather is usually warm in this season. It is lovely. The sky clears up and there is sunshine. The snow melts. The trees get green. Children are happy to have nice bright days. They play in the yards and playgrounds.

Winter is a cold season. The weather is frosty and snowy. It often freezes. The trees, streets and houses are white with snow. Sometimes it’s foggy. If the weather is very cold many people stay at home. Some people like to ski and to skate and spend days outside. Children play hockey and snowballs, they make snowmen. The weather is cool and rainy. It often clouds over and the sky is usually grey.

Autumn come to after summer. Sometimes it pours and the weather is dreadful. It is wet. Some people like this season because there are many fresh vegetables and fruit. The leaves on the trees change their colour from green into red, yellow and brown. They look beautiful. People enjoy walking in the parks and forests.

And now listen to the poem and say which season it is.

The trees are green

Blue sky is seen

White winters days gone away

The world looks new and gay

1. The 1 st of June – Children’s Day.

2. The 6 th of June – Day of Astana.

3. The 30 th of August – Constitution’s Day.

In the Autumn:

1. Languages Day.

2. The 1 st of September – the Day of knowledge.

3. The 1 st of October – Older’s Day.

4. The 5 th of October – the Day of Teachers’

In the Winter:

1. The 1 st of December – Day of the first President.

2. The 16 th of December is Independent Day of Kazakhstan.

3. The most favorite holiday for children is a New Yaer.
