Plan

Цели:

  1. Развивать речевые умения в диалогической форме речи;

  2. Активизировать изученную лексику.

Ход урока

I. Организационный момент.

- Good afternoon children!

- I’m glad to see you! How are you today?

- Who is absent?

- Let’s begin our lesson. This time you’ll learn the topic “World around Us”. We’ll speak about foreign countries and different continents where these countries are situated, about people of different nations and nationalities who live in these countries. We’ll also discuss ecological problems, speak about nature, animals and birds that are in danger nowadays. And today we’ll read the dialogue and make up our own.

II. Фонетическая зарядка: (ЛЕ урока)

[s] sea, seaside, star, sun, snow, stone;

[g] grass, garden, ground;

[f] forest, leaf, flower;

[n] wind, land, island;

- Read the words after me.

- Read the words in pairs.

- Read the words as quickly as you can.

III. Речевая разминка.

Let’s remember some British and Russian traditions. Answer my questions, please.

  1. What British traditions do you know?

  2. Are they different in different parts of the UK?

  3. What Russian traditions do you know?

  4. When do we celebrate Maslenitsa? Etc.

- Ask each other questions.

IV. Повторение пройденной лексики.

- Do you like to take part in different competitions?

- Let’s have a competition then. You will do different tasks. I think it will be funny, interesting and useful for you. Let’s form three teams.

1. You already know some words on the topic “Nature” and “World around Us”. Let’s play a memory game. Open your books and find ex.1, p.80. Look at the words for a moment, then close your books and name everything you remember. The team which names more words will be the winner of this part.

- OK, thank you, pupils. I see you have a good memory.

2. The next task for you is to divide these words into three groups denoting:

a) waters; b) plants; c) places on the Earth.

- Thank you, pupils. I see you can divide the words quickly and correctly.

3. The next task is called “Let’s choose the Leader”. Now I’ll explain the rules. I’ll ask you 6 questions. The team which gives the most correct answers will be the leader of this part of the game. The questions are not easy. So, be attentive, please.

(Questions: ex. 4, p.8)

- Thank you very much.

4. The next task is called “Think the names of them”. I’ll explain you some words and your task is to think of the names of these explanations. Don’t forget to discuss names in your teams. (Ex.3, p.80)

- Thank you pupils you were quite right.

5. And then last task for you is to speak about your favourite season. You’ll choose a season and make up a short story about it. And the other team will guess what the season it is.

- Is the task clear for you? You have 3 minutes to think.

- Thank you, pupils, your stories were original. Now our game has come to an end. Our best congratulations to the … team. They are the winners of the contest. Don’t worry if you are not the first. Only one team can be the first. Let me thank all the participants of the competition.

V. Развитие речевых умений в диалогической речи.

- Do you like our competition?

- But let’s continue our work. I’m sure you remember what people usually say when they meet each other. Will you name them? (Hi. Hello.)

- I see you remember them. I want you to read some new words in the table. Open your books and find ex.6, p.81.

- You see English people often use “How do you do” and they use it in official language. Now read what people usually say after such greetings.

- You see English people often say “OK”, “Fine”, “Very well”. They don’t show that something is not well. Only sometimes when they speak about somebody they can say that he (she) is ill, is sick.

Ex: - How’s Ann?

  • She is sick.

- And now let’s read the dialogue and see what greetings and answers they use in it.

- What greetings have you heard?

- Now let’s read this dialogue again.

- Now read this dialogue in pairs.

- Make up your own dialogues using the words from the table.

- OK. Let’s listen to your dialogues.

- Thank you, pupils for our work. You were active today and work hard. The lesson is over, you may have a rest.

Homework: ex.7, p.81; ex.30, p.95.
