Цель: совершенствовать навыки неподготовленной диалогической речи, совершенствовать навыки монологической речи на основе диалогической речи
Задачи:
Образовательная: 1) развивать навыки диалогической речи, умение запрашивать информацию, реагировать на реплику собеседника, 2) развивать навыки монологической речи на основе диалогической речи.
Развивающие: вовлечь учащихся в творческую деятельность через ролевую игру.
Воспитательные: прививать интерес к изучению английского языка, воспитывать чувства коллективизма.

Teacher: Dear children try to guess the theme of our lesson! (учитель включает запись двух-трёх предложений на разных языках)
Pupil1: I think the theme of our lesson is “Languages”.
Teacher: What language is the international one?
Pupil2: Of course, English is.
Teacher: You are right. So, what is the theme of our lesson is?
Pupil 3: English is the international language.
Teacher: Look at the blackboard and you can see the theme of the lesson. But what are we going to talk about?

An interpreter is a person who repeats what someone else is saying by translating into another language so that other people can understand it.
A translator is a person whose job is translating from one language into another language, especially in writing.
Vocabulary is a list of words in a lesson or a book, all the words that one person knows/ all the words in a language.
A dictionary is a book that gives words from A to Z and explains what each word means.
A drill is a way of teaching something with the help of repetition or special exercises.
An idiom is a group of words with a special meaning.
Teacher: So you know the meaning of the words very well. Today we’ll speak about the
English language. By the way, what is a language? Do you know?
Pupil 9: Language is word combinations, words, intonation, spelling used by people.

Pupils show the countries: Great Britain, the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand,
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Nigeria, Malaysia…
Teacher: So English is spoken and used on all six continents of the world. The English
language surrounds us like a sea.

Teacher: Why has English become the international language?
Pupils: English is the world’s computer language. Three quarters of the world’s mail are in
English. It is the main language of business, sport, science. It is the language of international
air traffic control. It is the leading language of international tourism. It is the main language of
popular music, advertising, satellite broadcasting.

XI. Project work.
Teacher: Represent your project work “The best way of studying English”. It was your
homework and you worked in small groups.
Teacher: Well done! I see that you know the best way of studying English. But there are
a lot of professions dealing with the English language. What are they?
Pupil 5, 6,7,8: an interpreter, a translator, a foreign language teacher, a diplomat, a waiter,
a guide, an air hostess on international airlines, a pilot, a businessman, a chef on ships…
XII. Pole play.
Teacher: Yes, you are right. But you know that people who speak English have better job
opportunities. Look at the blackboard. You see four advertisements published in our local newspaper. You’ll work in groups. You should translate these advertisements into English.
(pupils read their translations). Let’s play! One of you will be the presidents of a foreign firm,
the other pupil will be a good specialist who is looking for a job. The third pupil will be a secretary. Two pupils will fill in the application forms. You’ve got three minutes for preparing.
Teacher: You’ve acted out very well. Let’s draw a conclusion
