Урок №2 - урок – подорож.

Тема: Лондон

Пiдтема: Подорож до Лондона.

Цiлi:

• організувати віртуальну подорож до Лондона; згадати визначні місця Лондона;

• розвивати навички монологічного мовлення учнів та мовленнєвих вмінь вести дiалог-розпит;

• активізувати вживання ЛО в мовленні;

• розвивати вміння порівнювати вивчаючий матеріал;

• розвивати вміння висловлювати свою думку англійською мовою;

• розширяти кругозір учнів;

• виховувати поважне ставлення до культури та iсторii країни, мова якої вивчається;

• виховувати цивiлiзовану особистість, культуру спілкування, поведінки;

• формувати лінгвокраїнознавчу, комунікативну, мовну компетенцii.

Засоби навчання: Презентация Power Point: « A Trip to London», картки (кросворд « Лондон» для самоконтролю), комп’ютер, проектор, екран, дошка, роздатковий матеріал, пiдручник А.М. Несвiт для 6-го класу.

Учениця з 10 класу.

ОЧIКУВАНI РЕЗУЛЬТАТИ

Після цього уроку учні зможуть:

• характеризувати визначні місця Лондона;

• працювати з картою Лондона та робити самостійні висловлювання за пропонованою ситуацією;

• вести дiалог-розпит.

Procedure: Хід уроку

1. Greeting. Привітання, cтворення робочого настрою, фронтальна бесіда з учнями.

Teacher: Good morning children! I am glad to see you. I hope you are fine.

1. Introducing the theme and the aims of the lesson. Повідомлення теми та мети уроку.

Teacher: Dear friends, we are going to have an unusual lesson. We have read and spoken much about one of the most beautiful cities of the world – London. We learnt a lot of interesting information about its history and sights. We have some guests who visited London and today we shall have a virtual trip to London. At first you will tell her what you know about this great city and then our guest will share her impressions with us and you will be able to ask her some questions. (слайд 2)

But first, I want to ask you some questions about this city and see what you know about it:

• What is London?

• Where is it situated?

• On what river does London stand?

• What sights of London do you know?

(Учні відповідають на запитання.)

Teacher: That’s right. London is the capital of Great Britain. It stands on the river Thames. It consists of three parts: the City of London, the West End and the East End. Ok. Let’s see what places we’ll visit today. Welcome to London.(слайд 3)

1. Writing. Закріплення вивченого матеріалу в мовленнєвих вправах. Показ слайдiв з презентацiї. Повтор вивченої лексики.

Task: Scrambled Letters. (слайди 4-5)

Teacher: Before we continue, let’s remember the words we learnt about town life. We have scrambled letters- put them in the right order and you’ll know some town objects.

(Учні виконують завдання в зошитах.)

Now you can check the words. Who can read them? Have you made any mistakes? Well done.

1. Reading. Тренування в читаннi англійських назв.

Task: Match the parts and read them aloud. Поєднати частини та прочитати правильно назву.

Teacher: We go on. Do you know the names of places of interest well? Now we shall see it. Match the parts and read the name of the sight. Who wants to try? You can check it by yourselves. Take your time. (слайди 6-7)

1. Speaking. Монологічне мовлення учнів. Робота з мапою Лондона.

Speak about some of the places of London

Teacher: We are going on our trip. Look at the map of London. Find the places of interest you know and say a few words about them. (слайд 8)

Teacher: What is it? That’s right. This is the Tower of London. Who can tell us about it? Pupil A, you are welcome. (слайд 9)

Teacher: We are in Trafalgar Square, aren’t we? What is it famous for? Can you tell us?

Teacher: Isn’t it another great church? Who built it? It will be interesting to know. Can you tell us about St Paul’s Cathedral? (слайд 15)

1. A minute of relaxation. Фiзкультхвилинка

Teacher: We have finished our trip. I hope it was interesting. Now it is time to have a rest. Let’s do some special exercises. Who can show them to us? Children, you know what to do-repeat the movements after your classmate.

1. Speaking. Розвиток вміння вести діалог-розпит гостя, вiдвiдавшого Лондон. (Учениця 10 класу, яка нібито відвідала на канікулах Великобританію)

Teacher: Thank you. We go on. We have a special guest. This is Valeria. She is a pupil of the 10^th grade. During spring holidays she was in London. She has kindly agreed to answer your questions about this trip. Now you can ask her questions. Who will be the first? P1, you are welcome.

(Учні задають питання дівчині)

(LIKE: When did you go to London? How did you get there? How long did you stay in London? What was the weather like in London? Did it rain there? Have you visited any other towns in England? What interesting places did you visit in London? Have you been to the Tower of London? Did you visit Buckingham Palace? Did you walk about Trafalgar Square? Is it beautiful in spring? How big is the monument to Admiral Nelson? Have you seen the Queen? Were you in any London’s parks? )

Teacher: Many thanks. It was very interesting, children, wasn’t it?

1. Reflection. Активiзацiя тематиченоi лексики. Завдання на рiшення країнознавчого кроссворду.

Teacher: Now, children, let us do a crossword puzzle about London and check how much we know about it. Look at the crossword on the screen. (слайд 16) Meanwhile I am giving you out the cards with this crossword. Read the questions to yourselves and write in the answers. You have a few minutes. You can use your textbooks to find the answers and use your dictionaries. Start, please.

1. Summary of the students’ work. Підсумки.

Teacher: You have done a good job of it! But we continue. Now let us sum up what we have learnt about the capital of Great Britain. Look at the screen and do the following task. Put in the missing words and tell us about your trip to London. (слайды 18-19) I’ll give out the cards.

Teacher: OK. Our lesson is over. You worked hard today. You spoke much about London, we remembered interesting facts about its places of interest, you practiced asking questions, you refreshed the words and did the crossword and the quiz. Your marks are……I’ll put them into your diaries in a minute later.
