Цель урока: Формирование коммуникативной компетенции учащихся, расширение страноведческого кругозора учащихся.

Задачи:

Образовательные: Совершенствование лексических навыков;

развитие навыков аудирования c  целью извлечения конкретной информации

Here we can see a poem. Let’s read it together

So many countries all over the world,

So many people and life-tales told!

Different cities, languages, poems,

Amazing traditions, legends, stories.

We travel East, we travel West,

To know so much is the best,

If South is warm, North is cold,

We start our trip and off we go!

- Here is the map of the world. Look at it and say:

-How many continents are there in the world? What are they?

-What is the largest / smallest/ hottest continent in the world?

- What continent is covered with ice?

- What continent was discovered by Columbus?

-What continent is situated to the south of N.A?


There are a lot of countries almost on every continent with its own capitals, flags and official languages. Let’s see how well you know the attributes of different countries. Look at the flag, name the country its capital and the language people speak.


- Now name the nationalities of the following people.





- Every country has sights that are known all over the world. Let’s see how well you know them. Name the sight and the place it is located.


- Now you'll listen to the text about one of the famous sights of the world. Try to guess what it is/ Here are new words that will help you to understand the text better.
