The aims of the lesson:
а) educational: to introduce students with new words and to review grammar material
b) developing: to develop the students’ reading, writing and speaking skills and enlarge their vocabulary
c) up - bringing: to bring up the students’ interest for the health
Materials: Slide show, pictures, cards
I. Organization moment
Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! How are you getting on today? What shall we do today? We are going to deal with the very important problem – good and bad habits, because the theme is called “Health habits”. So we have a lot of work today. Let us begin. Look at the blackboard. There are our aims on it.
1. To learn and train new words.
2. To read the text and try to speak.
3. To revise adverbs.
II. Warm - up.
I’d like to start the lesson with the proverbs. Look at the screen and match the beginnings and the endings of the proverbs.
An apple a day / is above wealth
Good health / keeps a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
Early to bed and early to rise / keeps the doctor away.
III. Checking up the home task.
What was your home task?
Ex. 7, 8p. 59
The pupils read good habits.
Eating wholemeal bread- кебектен жасал?ан нан ( отрубной )
Eating high fibre food- ??рамында клечаткасы жо?ыры азы?тар
Eating low fat food- майлылы?ы аз азы?

After then the pupils name the influence of bad habits

D) Work with text.Task: read the text and try to give the content of your texts by mime or gestures. You can draw about your text, if you can’t give it by mime. Other groups should guess what about the text and tell about it.
E)Discussing about bad habits. Choosing a card with the name of one of bad habits, they prepare their answer for 5 min. Each group tells how this bad habits influence a man and his family. The pupils of other groups may add if necessary. Smoking, drinking alcohol, taking drugs
Writing. There are some laws of health that people must follow. Using the pictures you should make-up sentences.
Example: Fresh air is necessary for health.
We should tidy up our rooms.
Our body should be clean.
We must wash ourselves in the morning, clean teeth twice a
day, keep nails in order.
III. Conclusion.
Find the proverb. A is missing
English proverbs are given. Children should find Kazakh equivalents.
Example: Health is the best wealth. Денсаулы? - зор байлы?.
