для учащихся 8 класса
Тема: «Средства массовой информации».
Цель урока: развитие языковой компетенции учащихся через обобщение знаний по теме «Mass-Media»
Образовательные задачи:
– обеспечить условия для формирования у учащихся речевого умения высказываться по проблеме и ориентируясь на собственный опыт с использованием изученной лексики.
– совершенствовать практические навыки владения лексикой по теме “Средства массовой информации”, путем привлечения дополнительного материала, развивать навыки восприятия речи на слух, поискового чтения с целью извлечения конкретной информации и чтения с полным пониманием прочитанного, развивать навыки аудирования и говорения. Воспитательные задачи:
– обеспечить условия для осознания учащимися глубины и важности проблемы использования средств массовой информации, осмысления необходимости обсуждать данную проблему и выработать собственную позицию. – обеспечить условия для воспитания у учащихся позитивного отношения к окружающему миру, доверия к мнению разных людей, умения разбираться в различных точках зрения.
– формирование у учащихся чувства ответственности по отношению к учебной деятельности.
– воспитание нравственных качеств личности (доброжелательности, гуманности, вежливости друг к другу).
Развивающие задачи:
– обеспечить условия для развития сенсорной сферы (ориентировка во времени и пространстве, точности, тонкости восприятия, анализа и понимания предлагаемых текстов.)
– обеспечить условия для развития мышления учащихся (умения анализировать предлагаемые иллюстрации, тексты, видео фрагменты, выделять главное, обобщать полученную информацию, выстраивать сообщения, уметь обоснованно представлять их, развивать ассоциативную память учащихся и быстроту реакции.)
– обеспечить условия для развития речевых навыков (обогащение и усложнение словарного запаса по данной теме, усиление коммуникативных свойств речи: четкости, выразительности, интеллектуальности, овладение учащимися выразительными свойствами языка.)
Методы обучения: стимулирующий,побуждающий,частично-поисковый.
Методы преподавания: побуждающий говорить на английском языке.
Тип урока: обобщение и систематизация знаний.
Ход урока:
I. Организационный момент

- Good afternoon, dear students. I am glad to see you.

- I’m sure everybody is all right. We are so pleased to see our guests today and we’ll try to make our lesson useful and interesting.

-Yes, that's right. In this picture you can see a man whose life is impossible without Mass media. He can't imagine his life without it. It plays a very important role in his everyday life. So what is Mass media? (Mass media is communication that reaches and influences a large number of people.)
-What types of Mass media do you know? What types of Mass media can you see on the screen?
- Let's make a spider of Mass media.
-So,today we are going to devote our lesson to “The world of Mass media”. Our aim is to generalize our knowledge on this topic and get to know with something new for us, concerning Mass media.

-You know that TV now is one of the most important type of Mass media. We can hardly imagine our life without TV. I think you know much about TV. Prove it answering my questions.
-Do you like to watch TV?
- When do you usually watch TV?
- What is your favourite programme?
-No doubt, you have a lot of favourite programmes. So, the next task is to match each type of programme on the left with the correct item on the right.

You know that TV has advantages and disadvantages. In order to discuss the positive and negative sides of TV. Let's divide into two groups, the first row, your task is to name the advantages of watching TV, the second row, your task is to find the disadvantages of watching TV. The list of advantages and disadvantages you see on the blackboard. Your task is to divide them.
When television arrived, many people predicted that radio would disappear. But they were wrong. Since the arrival of television, radio audience has increased, and radio now has more listeners than even before. I think that radio has become the most important media for music. Now imagine that you are listening to a radio talk show about teenage problems. So what question would you ask a radio talk show host. Write down, please.
Example: -What would you advise for teenagers who can't get on well with parents?
-I have problems at school. What shall I do?

- Did you have any problems when you were a teenager?
-Another very important type of media is the Press. What can you say about the press in Russia? (There are a lot of newspapers and magazines in Russia. Every city and town has its own newspaper. There are special periodicals for teenagers, women, businessmen and etc.)

Now look at the screen. We have two articles. Look through them quickly and guess which of the headlines go with these articles.
You know that the main types of British newspapers are quality newspapers and tabloids.
-Now let's pay attention to the internet. Comment the pictures and logotypes on the screen. Let's speak about the reasons of surfing the net:
- We use the internet to download video, music, pictures.
- Social nets are for communication and making new friends.
- You can chat on-line via Skype.
- We can e-mail our friends at any time.
- The internet helps us to find necessary information.

Divide into groups of three, please. You will choose the most important type of Mass media and create an advertisement about it. The first group will advertise TV. The second one – radio and the third one – the Internet. So share your ideas.
Pay attention to the plan of your advertisement (слайд 13).
Name the type of Mass media which you will advertise.
Say why it is the most important type of Mass media for you.
Name its advantages.
