1.Вступительная часть: постановка цели урока:

Teacher: Hello, my dear friends! I am very glad to see you at our lesson. Look at the blackboard! There are some words and expressions on it. Read them and guess what the topic of our lesson is.

Abroad, airport, luggage, trip, expensive, tourist class, information.

Pupils: Travelling

T: Now children let’s begin our exciting Tour. We are going to visit three different countries: Russia, England and America. During our exciting and unusual tour we are going to see the sights of the countries, to make new friends and improve our English, of course. I wish you good luck!

II. Речевая разминка

T: We have read and talked a lot about traveling, about different countries. What do you think about travelling?

P1: A lot of people travel nowadays and it’s not surprising. They can travel by train, by plane, by car, by sea and on foot. 

T: What kind of travelling do you like?

P2: As for me, I prefer travelling by car.

T: Why?

P2: I think it's very convenient.

T: Prove it.

P2: You needn't book tickets and carry much luggage. You can stop wherever you wish and have a rest.

T: And you, what do you think? What transport is the best?

P3: I think that plane is the best.

T: Why?

P3: It’s the quickest way of travelling. You can see rivers, lakes, forests from the plane. It’s exciting to fly in the sky.

T: Ok. Do you like to travel?

P3: Yes, I do

T: What towns or cities did you travel in Russia?

P4: I have been to…

T: Did you travel abroad?

P5: Yes, I did

T.: So, where can we get all the information for our trip?

P: At a travel agency.

T: You are right, at a travel agency. You know there are a lot of travel agencies nowadays and people try to choose the best one. So, let’s play the game “a competition of the best group of travel agencies”. We have some travellers who want to have business with the best travel agency. They will choose the best one.

Let’s go on our imaginary trip to the first country which is the UK.

Класс предварительно поделён на группы. Каждая группа представляет турагентство, рекламирующее поездку в одну из стран. Во время рекламы группа использует флаг, герб, презентацию с достопримечательностями данной страны.

Первая группа учеников представляет рекламу своего турагентства. Рассказывают о Великобритании, Лондоне.

Слайд 1 England is the largest and the richest country of Great Britain. The capital of England is London

Слайд 2 There is the largest clock in the country, Big Ben on the highest tower of London. Big Ben is the symbol of London. It strikes every quarter of an hour.

Слайд 3 Buckingham Palace is one of the major tourist attractions in London. It is the official London residence of the Queen. The Queen lives and works there.

Слайд 4 There are many beautiful parks in London. St James’s Park, Green Park, Hyde Park are in the heart of London.

Слайд 5 There are many museums in London. For example, the British Museum, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum. The British Museum is the biggest museum in London.

Слайд 6 The weather in England is very changeable. A fine morning can change into a wet afternoon and evening. And a nasty morning can change into a fine afternoon. Welcome to London!

T: Thank you very much. I think it will be interesting to visit England.Now let’s speak about The USA.

Слайд 7 The United States of America (the USA) is one of the greatest countries in the world.Washington is the capital of the USA. It isn’t the largest city, but it is very beautiful and has many attractions. There is the White House where the President lives.

Слайд 8 There are many beautiful parks in the USA too. The largest park of the USA is Central park. There are many attractions in this park. Sports fans can watch and play baseball. You can relax in Central Park. Also, there is Children’s Zoo there.

Слайд 9 There are many children’s attractions in the USA. The most famous are Disneyland in California and Disney World in Florida.

Слайд 10 There is no city like New York. There are thousands of things to do and places to visit for tourists. The most famous landmarks must be The Statue of Liberty - a symbol of freedom.

T: Thank you so much. Take your places, please. The 3-d country which we are going to visit is Russia

Слайд 12 Russia is one of the largest countries in the world. The capital of Russia is Moscow. Moscow is very beautiful city. The heart of Moscow is the Kremlin

Слайд 13 Red Square is the symbol of our country and one of the most beautiful squares of the world. Tourists can see St. Basil’s Cathedral, the Mausoleum of Lenin and the red walls of the Kremlin here.

Слайды 14,15,16 Moscow has a lot of beautiful churches and cathedrals.

Слайд 17 , 18, 19 Moscow is famous for its museums, galleries, monuments, wonderful squares and streets. This city is one of the most interesting and beautiful in the world.

Слайд 20 The Moscow underground is the quickest and most convenient means of transportation. It is the most beautiful in the world. Every station is a real masterpiece.

T: And now our travel agencies have presented their companies and countries. I think, you, dear guests, have decided what travel agency is the best.
