Цели: Совершенствовать навыки ведения дискуссии по теме.

Развитие навыков аудирования с целью извлечения основной инфор-

мации.

Воспитывать сознательный подход к выбору профессии.

Ознакомить с перспективой развития рынка труда и ориентировать

уч-ся на верный выбор.

Ход урока.

Today we’ll deal with problems connected with professional sphere. This theme is quite actual for you because it is your last year at school and you have to choose the right job. Maybe, today’s lesson will help you to make the right choice. To start with, let’s make a survey to see what is the situation with choosing the job in your class.

You’ll form 3 groups to find out the information for such questions:

1.How many students have already chosen future job

2.What spheres are the most popular among you

3.What helped you to make your choice

Sum up the results of your survey and inform us about the results.

60% - have chosen their future job.

40% - haven’t.

Military sphere is popular for 45% pupils.

IT sphere is attractive for 35%

Medicine for 15%

75% - have made their choice with the help of parents.

15%- mass media.

10%- family tradition.

We see the results of your survey. Are you sure that the professional spheres you have chosen will be in demand. Let’s listen to the forecast of specialists about job trends. You should complete the table and be ready to comment the information.

4.What changes will take place in professional sphere?

According to the job trend tourism will have good future. However, look at your graph. Nobody wants to work there. We live in the Crimea which is a real paradise for tourists. A lot of jobs are involved in this sphere. What are these jobs?

( guide, waiter, driver, hotel receptionist, chambermaid,interpreter)

Let’s speak about some of them e.g. a guide.

Continue my sentence: “ a guide is a person who……”

Can everybody be a good guide. What professional skills and personal qualities are necessary for a guide. Look at the list and choose the skills you think the most important. Explain your choice.

Most of you have already chosen your future job. Tell us please what helped you to make your choice.

P-s. Advice of my parents has helped me to choose this job. This is the tradition of our family to work in a sphere of medicine.

P-s. To make the right choice you should take into consideration your likes and dislikes. E.g. if you are good at painting you should develop your artistic abilities.

P-s. I advise everybody to visit the local job center to see which specialists are necessary in your area.

To get any job you should be ready for the interview with the employer.

• Take down notes during the interview.
