Present Perfect Continuous Tense.

The procedure of the lesson:

T: Good morning, dear children! Sit down! Who is on duty today? What date is it today? Who is absent today?

How are you today? What’s the weather like today? What was your previous lesson? What marks have you got?

Let’s check up your home task. I’ll say the word in English and you should translate them.

Ex. 15 p. 13 Are there any questions about your home exercise? Give me your copybooks.

Today we’ll talk about health habits and review Present Perfect Continuous Tense. Open your books at page 14 ex. 1. Look at the picture. Why do these teenagers look pale and tired? Write your ideas using the modal verbs may/might.

Ex. 2 p. 14 Read and compare your ideas with the others.

Ex. 3 p. 15 Listening. Listen to the text and check which of your ideas are mentioned. Open your books again at p. 261 and translate it.

Ex. 4 p. 15 Look at the picture. What are the reasons for these teenagers looking nice? Write in your notebooks.

Ex. 5 p. 15 Pair work. Make questions and answer them.

Ex. 6 p. 16 Fill in the sentences with the words in the box.

Eg.” I have been using Wella shampoo for my hair for 3 month.

S1: You look slim.

S2: Thanks. It is because I’ve been doing regular exercises.

Ex. 8 p. 17 Read and translate the text about famous company in GB. Write out the sentences in Present Perfect Tense.

Ex. 9, 10 p. 17 Pair work. Here you can see the short answers of the owner of the company to a journalist. Write the interviewer’s questions and the owner’s full answers. Make up a dialogue.

Eg.: How long have you been selling perfumes and soap?

We have been selling these products since 1976.

Types of the lesson : continuation of the lesson

The aims of the lesson:
a) to enlarge pupil’s vocabulary, to pay attention to their pronunciation;
b) to develop pupils’ skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking speech;
c) to develop the interest to English language, to teach pupils to respect each other and the culture of another nations, to teach to value relations

Equipment: board, cards, pictures, text-book, computer

The procedure of the lesson:

I. Organization moment:

a) Greeting

- T: Good morning!

- P: Good morning, teacher!

- T: How are you?

-P: We are fine, thank you!

b) Dialogue with pupils about the day.

-T: Who is on duty today? Who is absent? (Do you know his absent) What date is it today?

-T: Ok. What day of the week is today?

-P: Today is Saturday

-T: Is it autumn now?

-P: Yes, it is.

II. Checking up home task.

T: What was your home task?

P: Our home task was Ex 5 p30

T: Pupils, open your books at page 32. Look at the Ex 9

Now read the letters and compare them.
