ЗАДАЧИ  УРОКА:

  1. а)  Отработка  знаний  учащихся  в  использовании  ими  в

речи грамматики  времен  Past  Simple  и  Present  Perfect.  И

     умение  употреблять  предлоги  в  речи.

ОТКРЫТЫЙ УРОК АНГЛИЙСКОГО ЯЗЫКА


ТЕМА: HOBBIES.

Итоговый урок по теме.


ЗАДАЧИ УРОКА:

  1. а) Отработка знаний учащихся в использовании ими в

речи грамматики времен Past Simple и Present Perfect. И

умение употреблять предлоги в речи.

б) Активизация лексических единиц по теме.

  1. а) Развитие навыков и умений учащихся в составлении

монологов и выражении мыслей в устной форме.

б) Формирование умений у учащихся понимать речь на

слух.


Оснащение:

  1. наглядный материал: кроссворд, ситуативные картинки;

  2. дидактический материал: перфокарты, сигнальные карточки для работы с грамматическими временами.

Today at the lesson we’ll speak about different hobbies and will revise 2 grammatical tenses: Past Simple and Present Perfect.

  1. Речевая зарядка

Let’s begin our talk.

    1. So, what is a hobby? What do you think about it?

    2. What are the most popular hobbies?

Is going to the theatre a hobby?

    1. Do you like to go to the theatre? Is it your hobby?

    2. As far as I know you like painting. Is it true? How long have you been painting?

    3. What are you interested in your leisure time?

What is your favorite game?

    1. What is your hobby I wonder? Are you proud of your collection?

    2. What do you prefer doing when you relax after school?

    3. What are you fond of in your free time?

    4. What do you get pleasure from in your spare time?

    5. What are you keen on?

    6. What do you prefer to do after school?

Now look at these pictures. Let’s compare and find the difference between them using expressions: to be interested in to be fond of, to be keen on, to get pleasure from and so on.

Now I’ll give you cards. Let’s recall prepositions. Your task is to fill in the prepositions where necessary. You have one minute.

«TV Interview»


Now it’s time to turn on the TV, and to watch the programme “Meeting with Famous People”. Here is Mr. Frank Brown, a famous children’s writer. He will tell you some interesting facts about his hobbies. Let’s listen to him. After it I’ll ask you some questions about his story.


“TV Interview”

Now, I’d like to begin by remembering those times when I was a little boy. I had so many hobbies then. First, I think, I was a great collector of different things. I collected stamps, coins, badges, small books, pictures, pencils and what not. I tried to have thematic collections. I had large collections and was always proud of them.

When I was older, at the age of 12, I think, I became fond of sports. I was playing different sport games in the yard. In summer I swam and became a school champion. In the fifth form I became a theatre goers and spent all my free time at the theatre.

When I was finishing school my parents bought me a com-puter. Working with computers became my hobby.

Then one day I had an idea to write a story about my dog. The story was short. It was not very clever or very interesting, but it was my story and I like it very much.

Now it’s difficult to say if it’s my hobby or not as it’s my work now. I like this work and I have already written 5 books for children.

Now look at this beautiful flower and choose Mr. Brown’s hobbies.

Let’s listen to Mr. Brown’s story ones more and then you’ll anwer my questions.

  1. What is Mr. Brown’s profession?

  2. What was his hobby when he was a little boy?

  3. What was he fond of at the age of twelve?

  4. What was he interested in the 5th form?

  5. What became Mr. Frank Brown’s hobby after finishing school?

  6. What is his work now?


7. Монологи учащихся о своем хобби.

One boy from our group also likes to write poems. He has written a poem about a hobby for our lesson. Lets listen to him.

Jane is interested in reading books. It’s her hobby and she likes to tell us a story about it and to tell the poem “ A Book” in English.

Arterm also wants to tell us about his hobby and to show some coins from his collection.

Lets listen to Julia. She has made up a crossword on the topic “Hobby” for our lesson. Lets solve it together.

It’s time to revise our grammar: Past Simple and Present Perfect. I’ll give you cards and will read you sentences in two tenses in Russian. Your task is to define the tense and to show the card.

  • Моя бабушка увлекалась садоводством в прошлом году.

  • Я не видела тебя с понедельника.

  • Я еще не нарисовал картину.

  • Он не коллекционировал марки в прошлом месяце.

  • Он гордился своей собакой.

  • Когда ты ходил в театр в последний раз?

  • У меня эта коллекция уже два года.

  • Он никогда не был в театре.

Look at the blackboard. This is the English proverb.

By doing nothing we learn to do ill.

Hичего не делая, мы учимся, как дурно поступать.

So, if you haven’t your hobby, your favorite occupation, you are not interesting in anything, you can do bad actions.

I’m glad that everybody of you has your favorite occupation in your spare time. It’s very useful, interesting and important for you.


  1. Домашнее задание.

Your home task will be to write a story about your last visit to the theatre. Try to describe the theatre, the performance, the main actors and the scenery.
