1.Greetings
Teacher asks students about the date and day of the week and discusses the rules of behaviour in a classroom.
2.Warm-up. Freeze frame
Teacher shows video about Solar System and asks questions to the students: How many planets do you know? Name please. Do you want to visit another planet? Why? In what planet do you want to live? Imagine that you planets and choose one of the planet and try to introduce yourselves. Can you guess what is the theme of our lesson?
Teacher encourages students to write down on the stickers the words, ideas, expressions, sentences they associated with the words «Space» and «Earth» in the “basket of ideas”. Students write and present their ideas to the whole group. (I) (TD)
Teacher introduces the lesson objectives.
Teacher encourages students to take pictures of “ Sun” , “Earth” and “Moon” and divides into 3 groups. Each group
should choose the speakers.
The main part of the lesson
1.Writing/Fill in gaps
T focuses students’ attention on the words in the box. Teacher demonstrates the pictures of planets. Learners check the meaning of the words in dictionary and complete the sentences with six words.
Students change with their tasks to the given keys and evaluate themselves. T monitors students to spell the names accurately. (G), (I)

2.Reading/Jigsaw Technique
T encourages students to read the text «Mission to Mars» in three groups. T divides the text into 3 parts and speakers of subgroups choose the given cards with the texts.
Less able students to find out the words from the text to the
given definitions, teacher observes students and try to help for those students who has problems in this task.
More able students will make clusters and introduce to other groups.

3.Speaking/Socratic talk
T encourages students to prepare aninterview between an astronaut and an interviewer and divide students into two groups: astronauts and interviews.
Less able students make sentences or only questions and read to the whole class.
More able students create the interview and role play.

This technique gives students feedback during the lesson can provide them with the short written reminders about the verbal feedback they have received.Teacher encourages students to add the «basket of ideas» with the new information from the lesson that is on the board. Students fill in the «basket of ideas». This task shows us how students have learnt the topical content using new vocabulary.
