Theme: Animal world in Kazakhstan

Educational:  discussing about geography and wildlife of our country, animals, to enlarge students outlook, to enhance the knowledge of vocabulary

Developing: to develop creative fantasy, to develop speaking abilities

bringing-up: to enable students to put each other questions

greetings;

talk with pupils on duty.

Wishes for each other (to give the hands to each other and to say wishes )

To divide the children into two groups by degrees

They will ready for lesson. They will give hands  to each other and say wishes such: I’m glad to see you,( be healthy, be wealthy, be happy, success, good luck)

II.Checking up  home task

1.To review all new words by the previous lessons

2.Plants in Kazakhstan. 

 The teacher will choose the pupils who told new words as a leader and gives to the leaders mark criterion.

2.Do you know the history of Almaty?

What do you know about the origin of the word “Almaty”? …

Children will tell about new words

by the previous lessons

The leaders will mark themselves.

New theme is ’’ Wild life of Kazakhstan.’’. Teacher will give them the text.

Falcon - Baloban

Since ancient times Kazakhs have used falcon - baloban as hunting birds. Berkutchi - professional hunters - took balobans' chickens out of their nests and trained them for hunting This tradition still exist. Perhaps the best place to see falcons in the wild is in the Altai of the northeast Kazakhstan.

Koulan

Strong and light-footed, these Asiatic wild asses have always surprised people with their grace and beauty. Hunting brought these animals close to extinction

Then the teacher will give them  questions:

Read and make a list  species of animals

Teacher give them sentences and pupils must say their opinions

For the 1st group: Animals are used for experiments..

They will carefully listen to the teacher.

They will answer the questions

The pupils will read the text.

WILDLIFE

Today the wildlife of Kazakhstan includes 158 species of mammals, 458 species of birds, 52 species of reptiles, 12 species of amphibians, and 150 species of fish, 19 species of animals and 23 of birds. They are included into the International Red Book of rare or endangered animals. In the mountains of the Zailiiski Alatau alone, there are about 50 species of mammals, 141 species of birds and 3 species of fish. In the steppes herds of koulans and jeirans   graze. Deserts are inhabited with giant lizards, snakes  and spiders. On the peaks of its mountains snow leopards -mountain turkeys occur. Kazakhstan is inhabited with birds, marmots, wild sheep, the Tien Shan brown bear, flamingoes  and swans

They write the species of animals

Pupil’s answers: People say that animals are used for experiments. I don’t quiet agree with them. We must protect them. Why should we kill them for that purpose?

There are 2 situations for each group. They’ll discuss in groups and say what they think about the following.

Showing video of programme/Using internet

She shows video about the wildlife

*  Wild life programme

They will speak about the wildlife of Kazakhstan by the video.

 Dialogical learning

Then the teacher will give them task  and explains how to do this task.  

1. How many hours a week do you see films about animals on TV?

2. What sort of programmes about animals do you like watching by TV?

They’ll write three answers of them and ask each other three questions in a dialogical contact.

Warming up

She will show musical exercise from the interactive blackboard.

’’I wake up’’

Pupils will stand and do physical exercises.

Defending about television/Making their own project

Teacher will give to each group posters and markers and explains them how to do this task. She puts the sticks to the leaders chairs.

They have just seen a video about wild life. With the help of the video they will draw their own project ‘’Wildlife’’ in the poster and from each group the leaders will defend the task.

Conclusion/reflection

She will give them sticks.

They will write their opinions about new theme in the sticks.

Smiling poster

She will give them sticks.

They will put the sticks in the smiling poster.

Mark

Teacher gives some words to leaders then she puts conclusion mark.

The leaders will mark pupils with the criterion and say about the marks.

Home task:They’ll write Project work
