The theme: “ A TRIP AROUND THE TOWN”.
Цель урока: усвоение знаний и применение в речи лексико-грамматических навыков по теме: «Город».
Задачи урока:
* Образовательные:
-активизировать лексику предыдущих уроков;
-обобщить материал как систему знаний.
* Развивающие:
-развивать умение формулировать выводы;
-развивать коммуникативные навыки при работе в группах;
-развивать познавательный интерес.
* Воспитательные:
-воспитывать общую культуру, эстетическое восприятие окружающего, создать условия для реальной самооценки учащихся.
Используемые средства: тематические картинки, презентация по теме, раздаточный материал.
Ход урока.
I.Greeting. Good afternoon, boys and girls! Nice to meet you! How are you? I see all are present.
-Today you see guests at our lesson. They are teachers of our school. Don’t be nervous and enjoy our lesson. Let’s start.
The aim:
The theme of our lesson is “A trip around the town”. We will do different tasks. Today we are going to talk about our town. You will give directions to each other how to find the way to different places of our town. Act out your dialogues. We will revise everything what you have learned at the previous lesson. Ready!
-Речевая зарядка: Let’s practice our tongues. (Recite the rhyme)
Between, in the corner, in front of and near.
Behind the Museum is the Lyceum.
Opposite, under, next to, go down.
We walk all together around the town. ( tongues are ready )
II. Main part.
T: At the previous lessons we travelled around Minsk. What do you know about it. Look at the screen and tell us what is it? Well done! Презентация 1
-Lets revise words and expressions on the topic “ Town”.

1.You can watch a film there ( a cinema ).
2.You can swim there ( a swimming pool ).
3.You can send a card there ( a post office ).
4.You can buy food and clothes there ( a supermarket ).
5.You can watch plays and concert there (a theatre ).
6.There you can take a book to read ( a library ).
7.You can buy books there ( a bookshop ).
8.You can learn history there ( a museum ).
9.You are there if you are ill ( a hospital ).
10.You can learn Russian, English, Maths there ( a school ). Great!
-Now, look at the blackboard, you can see these words with the missing letters, fill in the gaps:

-Next task. I will read a word, you will add the noun to make a word-combination: native, beautiful, historical, modern, main, old, favourite.
III.Warming up.
-Lets relax and play the game “ Snowball “. You know how to play. To begin with: There is a park in my town.
-It’s time to divide into two groups. I will give each group a card with the task. You have got scrambled questions. Make up questions and answer. You should do this task as quickly as possible.

-Lets continue. Now, describe your town. Use the words below: was founded, a small town, 150 klm, 10 thousand, the main street, there is a, not high, clean and green, in the park, monuments, I like, proud of.
- We use prepositions of places when we say where the following places in town are: (картинки с предлогами)
The Palace of Culture, the fountain, the library, the bank, the post office, the cinema, the museum, the church.
-Make up dialogues, use phrases:
~Excuse me, can you tell me where is the…
~Can you tell me how to get to the…
~Can you tell me where is the…
Iv. Summerising.
Let’s sum everything up. What did you do at our lesson. We did exercises, played the game, told about the town, made up dialogues. Our lesson is over. I am very pleased and satisfied with your answers. You worked hard and creative.
The more kind words you say to one another, the more light there will be in the world and in our classroom. We must learn to be kind and polite. You know a lot of compliments. Say good words to one another.
