Nowadays the issue of reading before visiting tourist attractions is debatable. Some people are convinced that you should get initial data about a famous place of interest first, while others consider that to see everything with your own eyes is enough.

I agree with the point of view that getting primary information, as a starting point, is much more preferable for tourists. First and foremost, encyclopedic facts provide men with clear understanding of objects` origin, reveal numerous legends about them and finally allow to create a whole vision of the picture. Besides, verified sources let avoid rude mistakes and damage of unique heritage while attending sights.

Nevertheless, we can find an opposing opinion among people who are sure that it is useless to read something beforehand. This additional preparation will spoil your great expectations and lessen positive emotions. One can be unsatisfied and even experience a cultural shock.

However, I would not agree with the above mentioned idea. I am firmly convinced if a person is interested in history and historical places, learning more from the literature will specify the atmosphere around.

Taking all this into consideration, I strongly believe reading true articles about landmarks broadens our horizons and add charming peculiarities to the event.
