Lesson objectives:
All learners will be able:
-to identify most words connected with the given theme
- recognize the gist of the text “Mission to Mars”
Most learners will be able:
- to express ideas using clusters on theme “Space and Earth”
Some learners will be able:
to construct the dialogue between an astronaut and an interviewer

T divides students into two groups: astronauts and interviews and encourages students to prepare an interview between an astronaut and an interviewer.
Less able students make sentences or only questions and present to the whole class.
More able students create the dialogue and role play.
Descriptors:

-makes up 6 questions for the interviewers
-describes what their job is like for the astronauts
-performs their interviews for the class using topical words
T suggests ideas for questions if necessary: Why did you become an astronaut? Is it dangerous? What do you enjoy about your job? (P), (FA),(TD)

Each pair evaluates their own dialogue by giving stars .
Feedback Teacher gives comments to each pair.

Peer assessment.
T encourages students to read the text «Mission to Mars» in three groups. T divides the text into 3 parts and speakers of subgroups choose the given cards with the texts
Less able students will find out the words from the text to the given definitions, teacher observes students and try to help for those students who has problems in this task.
Task 1 T focuses students’ attention on the words in the box. T demonstrates the pictures of planets. Learners check the meaning of the words in dictionary and complete the sentences with six words. St. change with their tasks to the given keys and evaluate themselves. T monitors students to spell the names accurately. (G), (I)(TD)
