Sights of London
Londonis the capital of England and the United Kingdom, the largest metropolitan area in the United Kingdom and the largest urban zone in the European Union by most measures. London is a leading global city, with its strengths in the arts, commerce, education, entertainment, fashion, finance, healthcare, media, professional services, research and development, tourism and transport all contributing to its prominence.
Westminster Abbey is one of the most famous, historic and widely visited churches not only in Britain but in the whole Christian world. There are some reasons for its fame apart from its beauty and its vital role as a centre of the Christian faith in one of the world’s most important capital cities.
Buckingham Palace has served as the official London residence of Britain's sovereigns since 1837 and today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch.
Tower of London Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, more commonly known as
the Tower of London, is a historic castle on the north bank of the River Thames in central London, England.
Hyde Park is one of the Royal Parks and is one of the most popular parks in
London and covers an area of 350 acres.
St Paul’s is not only an iconic part of the London skyline but also a symbol of the hope, resilience and strength of the city and nation it serves. Above all, St Paul’s Cathedral is a lasting monument to the glory of God.
Trafalgar Square, set in central London, is one of Britain's great tourist attractions. A visit to the capital would be incomplete without going to marvel at Nelsons Column and the four giant lions at its base, or to admire the lovely splashing fountains and to feed the pigeons, who have made their home here. Built to commemorate Admiral Nelson, the square was named after the Spanish Cape Trafalgar where his last battle was won.
