The London Eye

The London Eye is a big 135-metre tall Ferris wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames in the British capital.

It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, it is visited by over 3.5 million people every year.

The London Eye is located on the South Bank of the River Thames in London.

Westminster Abbey is a

Gothic church in London that is the

traditional place of coronation for English monarchs. Located next to the Houses

of Parliament in the heart of

London.

The Tower of London Лондонский Тауэр

The Tower of London is a very old building in London. It is nine hundred years old. The Tower of London stands on the Thames. The English kings lived in the Tower. Then it was a prison where many people died, black ravens had much food near the walls of the Tower. The English people like them very much. A man looks after the ravens and gives them meat in the morning and in the evening. Now the Tower of London is a museum and many people from other countries come to see it. At ten o’clock every evening the guards lock the big doors of the Tower for the night.

The Bloody Tower Кровавая башня

The Bloody Tower was built by King Henry III

between 1238 - 1272

The Bloody Tower was originally named the

Garden Tower. But was given this nickname

from the murderous events. It was

then  believed to be the scene of the murder

of the two little Princes in the Tower –

Edward V and his brother the Duke of York.

2009.

Buckingham Palace is the London home and

primary residence of the British monarch. Buckingham Palace is the

Queens official London residence and is

used to receive and entertain guests on

state. The Palace is located

between The Green Park, Hyde Park and St.

James's Park. Buckingham Palace's 19 state

rooms, ballroom and gardens are open to

visitors during August and September.
